Description:
Arainthe Vardis is an average woman of average height, with dark trusses and a fair face. She has weak vision and needs eyeglasses to read, but who has time to read nowadays? She is highly pragmatic and not overly bound to conventional morals, which makes her efficient. She possesses the confidence and inventiveness of a good swindler, and enough intelligence and viciousness to become a good sorceress.

History:
Arainthe Vardis was born in the city of Radasanth. As a child, Arainthe knew only that her mother worked as a fortune-teller. Her father was supposedly a brave adventurer, but Arainthe only knew a name. She grew up wild in the streets of Radasanth, where she tricked other children during the day and learned her letters and numbers at night under her mother’s patient tutelage.

At sixteen, Arainthe’s mother passed away under strange circumstances, leaving the young girl to fend for herself. The girl took a few weeks to grieve, and then packed her bags and left the city she grew up in. She had since then found herself an apprenticeship to an old sorceress, and had spent two years under her mistress’s careful tutelage.

Skills:
Master staff-wielding-- She is quite good with a long staff, and can wield one like an extension of her arms.
Intermediate dagger-wielding-- Arainthe has picked up dagger wielding since her apprenticeship has began.
Survival -- She knows how to forage and fend for herself out in the wilderness.
Herbology -- As an extension of her survivor skills, Arainthe has spent time teaching herself usage of various common herbs.
Linguistics -- Arainthe has a gift for learning languages, and has picked up phrases in several different ones.

Abilities:
Force-push -- Five times a day, Arainthe can magically shove all enemies within a half meter radius of her away by three meters. The shove itself deals no physical damage.

Electrocute -- Three times a day, Arainthe is capable of producing lightning sparks that can chain and shock up to three opponents at once within a three meter radius. The shock can be uncomfortable for the strong target, and can stun an above-average human for five seconds. Stronger creatures may be slowed instead of stunned. [Status effective for one post]

Tempest Shield -- Three times a day, Arainthe can generate a shield using the power of storms. The shield can fully cover her for up to three seconds. While it’s up, the shield can block incoming magical and physical damage from an average source, and reduce fatal damage from an above-average source. [Status effective for one post]

Phantasm Clones -- Three times a day, Arainthe can create an illusion clone that looks identical to herself at the time of creation. These clones have no mass, can touch nothing, and their motions are wholly controlled by Arainthe. Each clone can last for up to ten minutes if her control is not disrupted. [Effective for two posts]

Poisoner -- Arainthe has learned to create small veils of poison with a little bit of sorcery if she has the right ingredients at hand. Her poisons may have slightly different effects compared to what’s sold in normal apothecaries. She uses these poisons to coat her weapons, but is not averse to feeding them to her targets directly. Her repertoire currently includes:


-- Atropa Nightshade: Once a day, using a dozen nightshade berries, Arainthe can distill a drum (i.e., dosage) of concentrated nightshade poison. This poison can be stored for up to a week, and Arainthe typically stores up to three drums on her person. A single dosage, when consumed, takes about two hours to act and is enough to kill a child or disable an average human adult for half a day. When coated on weapons, it is not fatal due to the insubstantial dosage, but may cause an immediate rise in heart rate, loss of balance, dizzy vision, and/or a rash on an average human for half an hour if poison enters a wound. [Combat status effective for three posts]

Hi Rogue, thanks for being patient and sorry for the delay in getting back to you!

Your abilities look good, but for the sake of clarity (mostly with competitive RP in mind) may I ask how many posts each ability lasts for? Time is a bit of a fluid concept here and can be somewhat open to interpretation, whereas a definitive post-count equivalent can help avoid misunderstandings in the Citadel and tournaments.

I'm sorry if this question wasn't originally asked on first approval.
