Buraindo Masayoshi is a young male Telgradian, hailing from Garah city. He has short, black hair with crimson streaks, but Buraindo's standout feature is that of his disability. Blind from birth, Buraindo opts to wear masks or sashes across his eyes for decoration; sometimes in the colours of his house, the noble family Masayoshi. This is done in celebration, rather than shame, of his condition.
Despite this disability, he is fit and athletic, having honed his body through his Telgradian upbringing as well as through training under the tutelage of the Council of Five. While he possesses multiple scars across his body from the times he was learning to fight blind as a child, most have healed so well as to be barely discernible. Beneath his fair skin, strong muscles cover his body, but they are of the shape and strength befitting a young man, and he carries himself with similar grace.
Most of the time, Buraindo wears comfortable clothing that allow him full range of motion of all his limbs. He prefers a loose red shirt with brown pants, and black fingerless gloves. For cold weather, he has a thick, heavy coat that is trimmed with white wolf fur, and has often been the only means by which he has kept warm through cold nights. His scythe is kept in a simple, dark sheath on his back. When travelling, he prefers going light and relying on his survival skills rather than a lot of equipment. At times, however, he has a small pack that he wears over his left shoulder that he uses to carry money, his journal and writing supplies, and a spare set of clothing.
Personality
Buraindo is driven by the desire and wish to serve the Telgradian Council of Five and his homeworld. His upbringing as one of the noble Masayoshi family served to set the stage for his connection to the Telgradia ruling council and the way in which he serves it. He has a particular curiosity in the actions of the Brotherhood and infamous Telgradian Shinsou Vaan Osiris, but dislikes the former's recent actions.
Methodical and usually soft spoken, he prefers taking action in order to overcome obstacles, rather than sit around and talk about it. Yet his insights, when he does voice them, show wisdom beyond his mere twenty-six years.
Buraindo keeps his emotions to himself, but makes attempts to develop close relationships with those he trusts.
Beleving himself to be a man of balance, he takes the view that the ends justifies the means, and if his hands are to be dirtied in the process, so be it.

Furugia
Senkei weapons are trademarks of the Telgradians, and each Telgradian carries one. Each one is unique; the weapons are reflections of a Telgradian's power and soul, and sentient beings unto themselves. The Senkei's name is the name of the living spirit which empowers the weapon and lends its strength to the Telgradian who wields it, and therefore can vary greatly in appearance. They have have their own distinct personalities, which are similar to their owner's.
Buraindo's Furugia is a Senkei scythe. The shaft is six foot tall, made of fine oak, and the curved blade extends out a hundred centimetres. It is forged from a jet black, steel tier material called 'gilt'. Like Enpera (Shinsou Vaan Osiris's weapon), it has the potential to reach three stages of release (Senkai, Hakai and Danzetsu (all dealt with through 'abilities')), but Buraindo is yet to tap into Furugia's full power.
Skills
Hunter and survivalist:
Buraindo is an excellent hunter, and is good at both tracking and foraging in the wild. He is able to discern herbs, flora and fauna from each other, and which ones are beneficial.
Telgradian Senkei:
Buraindo uses a Senkei weapon, much like Shinsou, and is able to commune with it to use certain abilities (see 'abilities').
Telgradian magic
Buraindo is well versed and accomplished in Telgradian magic, having learned from the Council of Five.

Though blind, Buraindo is able to "see" by attuning himself to his environment using a modified form of spirit sense. Within a hundred feet, he is able to see clearly anything living or inanimate, but beyond that everything appears blurred and out of focus. He can only "see" what his eyes would otherwise be able to, so his field of vision is restricted to a regular human's. Muscle memory allows him to remember "where to go" in places he has been before, but new places take more time to get used to.
Strength
Buraindo has twice the strength of a regular human, required for wielding Furugia's large size in battle.
Senkai: Furugia Kaen (immature form)
Furugia's first release, Furugia Kaen, immolates the blade with an ever present flame. This fire can be channelled to either create a basketball sized fireball (three times per thread) or can be used to enhance Furugia's slashes, causing painful burns to those it strikes.

Buraindo Masayoshi was born in the capital of Telgradia, Garah, two decades before Shinsou Vaan Osiris was subjugated and was forced to wage war against his own people. The two, however, had a vastly different upbringing.
As a child, he was treated just as any other child. He grew up with friends and under the loving care and guidance of his family, the Masayoshi clan. His noble family connections meant that the Council of Five was made aware of his presence very early on in his life, and it was Telos Soltair, Shinsou's father (unbeknown to Buraindo), whose tutelage he fell under in the academy.
Telos himself noted that he had the potential to become more than just a regular Telgradian, but stated no one could be sure. When Buraindo turned eleven years old, nine years before Shinsou's war, he attained Senkai (unheard of at his age). This (in the eyes of the Council) proved both his noble lineage of the Masayoshi clan and his latent abilities. The Council decided that training of combat and Senkai abilities should begin immediately, with Telos's blessing. Time passed and he matured in both mind and prowess. His life, though difficult and frustrating at times due to the pressure on him, was good.
