As spooky season dawns on the final day, we all know local stores whip into a frenzy over that one specific holiday in December. Sometimes, overlooking the massive feast and day of thanks in November.

Aside from holidays and hype, I want to know some of your favorite things. If you’re willing to share, tell everyone what you like as gifts, what you enjoy for food or sweets, what you like to do with friends or in your down time. Just share some favorite things!

Pistachio nuts. I cannot overstate how good they are compared to the more inferior macadamia / cashew variety.

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into spring

Oh and also
Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens

Trying to think if there is anything better than sitting in a hot tub whilst it snows?

i like christmas in america, it's exciting. but at the same time, it's also when i miss england the most. i miss rose flavoured turkish delight especially. i'm sure you can get it here, but it's not, you know, ubiquitous. also, advocaat is harder to find here.

hmm.... the color blue. in general, it'd be hard to find a shade of blue that I didn't like at least a little bit.

Amtgard. It's seriously been a fantastic hobby for me to pick up. I've stepped into leadership roles and learned to come out of my shell and not be such a wallflower because of my involvement in Amtgard.

Ribeye is hands down my favorite cut of steak, followed by filet mignon and prime rib.

I love family centered holidays, so Thanksgiving and Christmas are my top holidays.

I'm a history nerd, so I'm into antiques of any kind.
I also enjoy video games, books and working in the garage on projects or electronics.

I haven't been around snow in a long time living where I do, but I remember the first chilled breath of fresh air outside first thing in the morning after a snowfall when I did visit the North. That was good stuff I miss. Don't think I want to live in it, though. xD

That is a good feeling. I do live with it and as much as I like snow, I'm tired of it by the end of February. As of this post though, it's presently only on the mountains. What little we had in our yard has melted off for now.

I love snow, but living in Florida I don't see it at all....

Favorite things... getting to wear jackets and hoodies/sweaters when it's finally under 70 degrees. When students leave the city for holiday break and it's quiet at the University and around the city - I don't like college kids. I adore how much my fiancee love pumpkin spice everything, I think its really cute, but I don't tell her and I pretend its annoying. Lol.
