His personal life, however, is a stark contrast. The dark and gloomy Ogedai is drowned out with a colourful appreciation for arts and crafts of all kinds. Onku, while soft-spoken, enjoys a good conversation marinated in dry humour. He strives for perfection in his tasks.

Shadowmancy: Ogedai can manipulate shadows and darkness, allowing him to obscure his presence and those in his immediate vicinity in dark areas. He can also temporarily evaporate into a plume of smoke for a limited time.
Teleporter: Depending on his familiarity with certain areas, Ogedai can teleport over short distances. Though this requires concentration and a clear mind to envision his destination, preventing him from consecutively teleporting right after.

The story of Onku Xiao started in Alerar. Born as an illegitimate son to a Dark Elf noble and an unknown mother, he was given the upbringing and luxurious life of a noble's son, but his father kept him hidden away to protect his reputation. Stuck in the shadows, the boy learned to use it to his advantage and became quite familiar with the inner workings of the politics and schemes of his world.
He continued to learn and study, honing various skills and knowledge while an absent father continued to foster a resentment within him. Eventually it boiled over and, after a very harsh confrontation that left his father publicly embarrassed, he fled his home with a sum of his father’s riches. His journey took him through many lands and landed him in odd situations, including a travelling circus, a mercenary group, and even a questionable tavern dancer for a brief time. Eventually he found a new home in the Akashima region.
There he took on a new identity as Onku Xiao, and started a new life, trying to avoid the aspects he grew to despise in his father. His skills allowed him to begin working as a dangerous assassin with a very curious means of payment. From there, he used his riches to help others, going so far as to start an orphanage in Corone for children displaced by war.
To keep his identity and personal life safe, he used an alias for his work as a hired killer. And thus, Ogedai was born. With an unnaturally long lifespan and a world with limitless opportunities, he set out to make his own destiny
