Personality
Living a charmed life and never having faced a day of hardship thus far, Ayvriel is a gentle and sweet being, always seen with a smile curving her lips. She is also kind and trusting, and while it may be a naïve view to embrace in a realm filled with endless conflict, she believes there is an inherent sense of virtue in every being. So despite the trepidation she has for those she consider outsiders, Ayvriel is inclined to extend a tentative hand of friendship.
Even then, one would think that after the prolonged war with Alerar and soon followed by the devastation of Raiaera by the undead horde that Ayvriel would become embittered, but it has made her even more compassionate and resolute in providing succour to those who are in need. Because of her desire to aid her beleaguered country, it has become her ardent wish to expand her horizons and seek further understanding and knowledge that made her implore to her teachers at the White Spire and her family to allow her to embark on the rites of passage sooner than it was according to their longstanding custom.
Biography
Born as the youngest and third child into a prominent noble family on the secluded city of Tor Elythis, Ayvriel ia Saiph was blessed with a freedom that was rarely bestowed upon one with her position in life. Beloved and cossetted, she was allowed to follow her heart’s will and pursue her interests. With her family’s only expectation that she was not abysmal in her studies, the fledgling surprised them by excelling in song and magic, much to their pride and pleasure.
But with the ongoing Aggression War with Alerar, even if Tor Elythis was preserving its isolationist stance, her skills and talent meant the Ayvriel found herself initiated and ensconced within the learning halls of the White Spire at a tender age. It was here that she first had her eyes opened to the world beyond the walls of her city, for try as they may, the whispers of war and vengeance touched the fledgling magi. Her naiveté mind spurned the thoughts of ever hurting another living being with the magic she wielded, so she began to walk down a more benign path of learning.
If the prolonged aggression between Raiaera and Alerar has continued to paint the battleground crimson, and if the gift of prophecy has not manifested, her family and magi teachers would have persuaded her to return to the paths she truly shone in. But with the subsiding of the conflict amongst the two nations, and partly out of their own wishes that their only daughter remained sheltered and safe, her family acquiesced to her aspirations once more.
Then came the advent of the devastation that would enter the annals as the Corpse War. While it only took place over a fleeting two years period, many lives and cities were lost to Xem’zund and his forces. And still, Tor Elythis continued its silent vigil over the atrocities and gathering their own forces in preparation of protecting their fortress city. It would be the first time the sheltered Ayvriel ever felt the corrosion of shame and helpless rage, for her brethren were being ravaged by the undead horde while they continued to be protected by the mere providence of the whereabouts of their city.
So it was much to her wonder and relief when Tor Elythis gathered a relief force to aid Anebrilith. Resolute, and refusing to ignore the plight of the people of their neighbouring city, Ayvriel put forth her name as a volunteer. As someone who showed promise in the healing and holy magic discipline, her presence in the contingent was accepted and greeted with enthusiasm. Never once knowing what sorrow was until that fateful day, it was at Anebrilith that she first saw for herself the suffering and anguish of her brethren.
For the first few weeks after her return to Tor Elythis, the young lady was melancholic. And even when she returned to a semblance of herself, there were times when her gaze was cast far into distance as she lost herself in the dark memories of what she saw back then. But the flames of her resolve burned brighter than ever and it was not long before Ayvriel devoted herself to her learning with renewed purpose. With her inherent skill and talent for song and magic, and her desire to become a fledged spellsinger, she ascended through the ranks of the White Spire.
It changed her.

Skills & Abilities
[Skill] Grace | As with most of her brethren, Ayvriel is swift and agile, her every gesture and movement graceful and flowing. Nevertheless, as she has never furthered her training in the combat arts beyond the mere basics, her strength and endurance is wanting.
[Skill] Acuity | So long as she has a clear and unimpeded view of her surroundings, Ayvriel is able to discern faraway objects and beings with her keen vision.
[Skill] Magic | While she is able to call upon and weave elemental spells as part of her repertoire, her nature means that Ayvriel much prefers to avoid offensive spells and is inclined to favour defensive and supportive spells. Being a student of the White Spire and as an aspiring spellsinger, she is skilled and adept at casting spells without even a whisper of song ever leaving her lips. But as their magic are bound so closely with song, the more intricate a verse or stanza that she sings, the more potent the effect of the spell will be.
[Skill] Musicality | Blessed with the gift of song and deep love for music, being able to sing and dance is one of her life’s greatest joys. Possessing a clear and vibrant voice, and a talent to suffuse her songs with sentiments and invoke poignant reminiscences in her listeners, Ayvriel is renowned as a singer back in Tor Elythis.
[Skill] Clairvoyance | Though her family and the magi of the White Spire believes that being able to catch a glimpse of the future is a benediction, Ayvriel deems it more of a shackle as the visions that graces her are oftentimes hazy and vague. As they are beyond the realm of her influence, being granted one of these visions would mean she is vulnerable when her mind is wandering through a scattered constellation of images and her form is left frail and weary in its aftermath.
[Ability] Selana’s Aria | The youngest of the Pantheon shines bright within Ayvriel. When she imbues a touch of her magic into her voice, her words are known to soothe nerves and calm tempers. And when she sings, her arias may mesmerise creatures and beings both, leaving them entranced for a fleeting moment after she ceases her song. This ability can be used for as long or as many times as is needed. so long as she has the use of her vocal cords, and those she has ensnared within with this ability is able to hear her voice.
[Ability] Megillion’s Breath | While Ayvriel has a poor form for combat and strenuous undertakings, she possesses the ability to transfer some of her magic into non-sentient matter and change its structural integrity for a limited time. During the duration that this ability is active, boulders will become porous and easily crumbled, while fallen branches will become as rigid and sturdy as a steel rod. This ability can only be used thrice a day.
[Ability] Aurient’s Blessing | The culmination of Ayvriel’s learning thus far on the twin paths of Lissilin and Aglarlin has manifested in this twofold ability. When the young lady initiates Aurient’s Blessing, delicate curlicues of light flows away from beneath her feet, forming an intricate sigil that represents the Star Mother that is ten-meter in radius. The healing aspect of this ability can heal wounds, dispel toxins, and cure diseases with limitations (severe injuries will become moderate, moderate injuries will become light), and it can be used as many times as is needed. The purification aspect of it repels the undead for the duration that this skill is active and it can only be used once a day.
Possessions
[Attire] Traveller’s Garb | Various pieces of well-made clothing made of leather, suede, and linen, complete with a cloak for bad weather!
[Weapon] Dagger | A finely wrought stiletto dagger made of iron.
[Weapon] Gemstones | Of various colours and cuts. Depending on their type and affinity, Ayriel uses them as a foci to focus her spells.
[Receptacle] Leather Bag | A large leather bag containing a change of clothes, rations, some healing herbs, and writing tools.
[Companion] Hanya’ye | A pure white Raiaeran horse that has been with her ever since she was a of age to learn how to ride.
