For the record, I'm willing to donate 5AP to anyone who doesn't have the AP to enter. Please PM me if you'd like to take me up on the offer.
I'm up for doing the same as Lye :)
Also do people want to see a kenku army or the Gilded Lily army?
I should have the AP when the incentives are done for this month :)
Who intends on entering?
I will be there with bells on!
I should note that it -pains me- to have my AP change from it's current #nice position, but will happily donate to any member (akin to what Lye or Phi offered) should it be needed.
So Nev is the only one I feel high enough to participate. But he's not really general material. So I'm just tossing him in as a support hero for Phi.
Nevin has been accepted by the Philomel/Stare mega army
I'd like to enter with Arden and the White Hand/Knights of Brae.
I'm auctioning off the Hero rights to Dirks. Someone give me a starting bid!
Duffy doesn't have any shit :P
Tempted to enter; but I'm always horrendous at battle/fight stuff.
Ahhh
I would say go for it Tiffany. Try your hand at it :)
can my army just be 100 Australian spiders then?
Come now be fair you have to give other people a chance to win, Tiff
Someone can use Lye as a "Hero" or ally unit during the event if they like. Gold speaks loud enough as well.
God, i'm looking forward to this.
On a scale of one to ice cold, how cool are the rules makers with the idea of me writing as one of the 10,000 grunts, because I suck at larger-scale storytelling and this will allow me to stick to my strengths?
Before we really get into the fray of approvals and what not, please be sure to read the rules thoroughly and start asking any questions. I tried to cover all the bases and be as clear as possible. If you notice some issues or have a grievance, let me know now before we get into the fray of it all because me and Tony will be very busy.
It's a good opportunity to start thinking of what your army will have in it, how it will maneuver on the battle field, how to respond to an enemy setting scenario, etc. Think of what units you want and if the rules create any conflict or question with what you want to have.
To be clear, if you use your character on the account you're playing, they are permitted all of their current gear and abilities in battle. If you want to use one of your characters as an alt character, they are limited to 3 field abilities. Since they will be treated as an NPC hero, you may play them no higher than a level 9. Since they are an NPC hero, that also means you could technically scale them up should you so choose.
And please post said questions in the rule thread so we can keep it formal and others get the clarification as well.
Lye, with Philomel being what she is with Delath and Veridian, are they permitted on also, with their abilities as detailed in her profile? Would I be permitted to separate them and have them with units, for instance, yet still at their power as stated in her profile?
Also with the special units that are equal to three standard units, I remember last time there was some rule or other about there being allowed only one or two of these types. Is there a limit to how many special units we can have, or what number within those units we can have?
Post it in the other thread, please~ And I'll gladly answer you!
Sure.
Responded to, Ms. Philomel! Good questions to ask, thank you!
As a bit of a student of the naploeonic wars, I have to say I enjoy this format of tournament more than most. It's going to be interesting to see who else signs up - already got Philomel, Revenant, me, Kitsune and Arden. That's a decent battle every round by my estimation.
Revenant gets my nomination for Best Army Name.
Bunch of frothing religious nuts and priests whipping around incense flails. Sounds like his army is a witchhunting mob minus pitchforks and torches. lol
Don't fancy coming up against the demons that make metal red hot.
Some Brotherhood bozos in for a bit of a baking...
I am somewhat gleeful with anticipation at the moment.
Now just need to make some cool heroes to come up with the badass names I gave them.
Is that literally just your Age of Sigmar army Rev?
It is not because Age of Sigmar is stupid. Warhammer Fantasy forever!
Also, maybe.
So, in trying to decide whether or not Erik would actually take a spot in the army I'm building, I came upon a question. Erik is only level two. If I wanted to use him, would he take up a Hero slot? Or would he just take increased troop points?
Because I don't know whether we actually even need out PC in the army. I don't think we do but I'm trying to make sure.
If you ask lye in this thread ... He should be able to give a clearer answer.

Woops. I thought I was posting there.
Any early shouts for 1st, 2nd and 3rd?
Storm, Shinsou and Revenant are all excellent writers and shown themselves very capable in combat matches in the past.
To be honest every who is entering has good, steady imagination and decent writing skills. The ones I mentioned are only as there were some combat threads from them recently and they were very impressive. Everyone has a chance.
The winner of the previous tournament should be handicapped in the next one...
Mwhahaha.
WHen will rounds start? I'm contemplating signing up but January-FEbruary is hell for me atm, with events coming out the waazoo and people moving out then in and seeing my dad for the first ime in like 4 years
I want NekoPrincess to win because even though I dislike cats, a cartoony army of cat maids is too good an opportunity to see win.
Good luck to everyone in your quests to capture second place! :P
