It's time to go hunting. I need a price check on a great bow, done preferably in Talymer wood. I actually want it to be about six feet in height, and the arrows upscaled to be just under the size of a spear. This is meant to be a beast slayer, so I hope I can afford it!

Alright now... unfortunately, the cost of a talymer greatbow would be 900 GP, which would be a little out of your price range even if you converted all your AP. You could afford one made from eklan (600 GP) but that wouldn't leave you much left over for arrows. Would you be interested in getting it made from a real-world wood like yew? You can always upgrade it later with the spoils from your quest.
Hmm, and slowly shift it into a layered bow. Yea, I think that would probably work. I kinda need it to help hunt a really, really big winged serpent so I wanted it fairly powerful.
Well a yew greatbow would run you 150 GP. What did you want the arrows made from?

I should have specified, I need to know the type of metal you want the arrowhead made from.

This is the kind of thing I'm asking about, bow and Arrow. I should actually probably say it's made of metal not of wood. Uhm. For metal, for now, probably just Iron or something low like that.
Sorry, are you saying you want the bow made of iron, or the arrows, or both?
Just the arrows - the bow would need a couple strength boosts to be able to draw if it were made of pretty much any metal haha. But the arrows would look pretty much like slightly smaller lances, and obviously be meant to require a large amount of strength to shoot. Hence why I was originally looking at talymer wood for it, I figured more 'real' woods wouldn't be able to withstand the forces required.
I can give you the arrows for 15 GP each, or we'll say 150 GP for a dozen.
Saweet. So, 150 for the bow, plus two dozen arrows at 150 a set, would run 450 all told?
