Karl Mayrdorff is a thirty-one-year-old Salvarian male standing at approximately 1.9 meters tall, with a wiry and robust build consistent with those that dare to inhabit the harsh region of Salvar. Both his eyes and his hair are dark brown in colour, with any facial hair he grows being the same. His hands are callused, reflecting the years of hard labour he has put into his farm and if one were to look closely enough, service in the King's army.
His wardrobe mainly consists of what many would consider 'peasant garb': a fabric tunic, pants, and a jacket to keep him warm. The armour he wears is old but well-maintained, reminiscent of a hedge knight. A warhammer is strapped to his back.
Personality
A man of humble origins, Karl strives to be kind-hearted to those who deserve it and unsympathetic to those who do not. An ambitious man, maybe overly so, he wants nothing but to secure a better living for his family, acknowledging that the ends justify the means - even if his only daughter has to join the Church for them to survive, the very institute he views as evil.
Karl is a firm believer that work, not blood, should determine one's place in society, and that through effort, a peasant could become a duke. Unfortunately, Karl is also at the bottom of the feudal society, therefore his opinion means nothing and he will likely be stuck as a serf forever. This does not deter him, in fact, it even galvanizes him to be the change he wants to see in the world. Be it through blood or paper, he will become a king and make life better for all that live within his system.

| Charismatic | Karl has an affinity with words that just seems to attract, charm, or otherwise influence those that actually take the time to listen to him speak. He is passionate about what he fights for, and it is very apparent in the way he speaks.

Abilities
| Healing Touch | Karl is capable of healing wounds on both himself and others just by touching the injury, as long as he is able to focus on drawing the surrounding magic into himself and onto the wound. Most minor to moderate wounds are able to be completely cured given a few minutes of contact, with anything severe or even fatal only capable of being halted until proper aid is rendered. He can use this as many times as he needs to, but only when out of combat and undeterred by other distractions.
| Inspiring Presence | Seemingly a bi-product of his charismatic nature, Karl can draw upon his magic to try and affect those who stand within at least ten meters of him - hopefully bolstering their morale and inspiring them to continue the fight despite overwhelming odds. Note that this does not physically strengthen them: a deer will not turn into a lion, but rather fight like one. He can use this thrice a day.
[LOCKED, LVL 3] | Divine Retribution | Calling upon the magic within, Karl can imbue a weapon he is holding with divine energy and enhance its damage and durability for five minutes or, alternatively, discharge it in a single powerful attack. He can use this twice a day.

Minor and moderate wounds are healed, their physical energy is restored, and their will to fight is bolstered. History
Born around one score and ten years ago in the very village that he lives in today, Karl Mayrdorff was birthed to a pair of farmers. He was raised like any other peasant child: tending to crops and learning how to survive in the harsh climate of Salvar while his parents did their best to stay alive. It was halfway into his teens when his parents caught the sickness and suffered for a week until they died, leaving him alone with barely a copper coin to his name.
At the age of sixteen, he had an affair with the daughter of a priest and was barred from seeing her, leaving him nothing to do except work his farm and stay alive. A year thereafter, he learned that the woman had caught the sickness and passed as well when a baby girl was delivered to his home. Unfazed by his circumstances, Karl did his best to raise his daughter and taught her to work the farm as she grew just as he had learned.
Nearly a decade later, during dire financial straights, his daughter offered herself to the Church to become a templar, leaving the man crestfallen and alone once again. Desperate to fill the void, he joined the King's army and served for a few years, his actions unspoken of save for a warhammer and a name for himself: the Count of Bloody Battle. After just a few months of having to farm again, he decided it was time to set out and do something better with his pitiful existence.
He was going to gather an army of like-minded individuals and ruin the very church that left him and thousands of others dirt poor in the streets.
He was going to find his daughter.
