    Fate Point turn in!

    Alright Ladies and gentlemen. This is your chance to turn in those dusty fate points. Any person who has Fate Points remaining may post in this thread and receive;

    (75 x Character Level) x Fate points.

    If your level is 0 assume it is 1 for the purposes of solving for X.

    You have until the end of the Semi-Finals to turn in your points. After that, all offers are null and void.

    I'm turning mine in ... so that would equal (brings out calculator)...

    {75 * 1 * (2+3+3)} = 600 exp

    Why do higher level characters get more exp btw? That, imo, is unfair.

    If you absolutely HAVE to do different levels of fate point exp earnings, wouldn't it make more sense to give higher exp to the lower leveled characters since they went against higher leveled characters? Instead of the other way around?

    Maybe something like this....

    Level 0 = Times your amount by 3
    Level 1 = Times your amount by 2
    Level 2 = Times your amount by 1.5

    Level 3 and up = Exp gain is not multiplied any higher.

    What do you think?

    So in my case ... I fall in the Level 0 range, therefore mine would be 600 * 3 = 1,800.

    Again, just an example ... you don't have to use the EXACT one. Use your own, or stick to what it is already.

    What do you think?

    I'm pretty sure this has already been debated amongst the staff. Whenever equations and the like are involved, they always have nice little chats to determine the best way to do things. So if this the equation they're giving us, then it's probably the pre-agreed upon equation.

    It works out so that everyone gets the same percent of what they need to hit the next level. Everyone in the tournament had a character roughly equal to level 5 in strength, so being "higher level" doesn't mean you had a harder time with it than an actual level 0 going against, say, an actual level 5.

    To hit level 1, a character needs to earn 2000 EXP. To hit level 2, that character needs 3k more EXP. You need to earn one thousand more EXP per level than you did the previous to level up (+4k for L3, +5k for L4, etc etc). Since you're a level 0 and getting the same multiplier as a level 1, you're actually getting proportionally more EXP than a higher level character.

    (75 x 1) x 7 fate points (two for battle one, three for battle two, two for a side event) = 525. : )

    Then I would wipe my eyes, I'd dry this ink,

    Didn't you give your points to Stalin for Time at the end of round 2, Kupo? I remember you mentioning it.

    As for Cory and I, our fate points as it stands;

    (1 x 75) x 2+2+2+3+4 = 975. Kupo's gift not-with-standing.

    Do we both get this amount of exp by the way or do we just get 975 and have to divide it whatever way we choose?

    EDIT: Found the post from Kupo;

    http://www.althanas.com/world/showpo...28&postcount=6

    "As far as Kupo! goes, Stalin for Time may have my fate points. It was close fucking battle, and I did enjoy writing it with them. So in the end, I would like to see them move on no matter what. I got entering into round 1, winning round 1, and entering into round 2."

    EDIT # 2:

    Okay, I checked through all the side events and the battles and this is what I dug up from Kupo. I divided the points from catholic mafia in half with each round they entered and took that much, considering that would be Kupo's amount if it were divided fairly between he and his brother. Correct me if I'm wrong. I also included 2 points from Shadowed from his contribution, thanks man.

    This'll be what we have PLUS Kupo/Shadowed's points;

    (1 x 75) x 2+2+2+3+4+2+1+1.5 = 1312.5 EXP. 1312 EXP is fine.

    Same question about distribution between Cory and I and how much both of us get.

    I'm giving all my remaining fate points to Saxon anyways. That's only whatever I got from the last round, since before that I gave them to Kryos and Jericho.
