Can I ask how the rules work with levelling up during Serenti?

Are we bound to the profile we register with, or can we progress throughout the tournament (providing our profile is approved before a round begins?)

I believe it has always been so that you are bound to whatever profile is approved at the beginning of the round. So you could technically level up in between rounds. But it's Numbers's show, so he can give you a more definite answer.

Rather than copy/paste a duplicate version of my lvl 8 profile (since I'm not interested in making 2 levels worth of updates on short notice), can't you just reopen and review my existing level 8 profile?

EDIT: Nevermind, I went ahead and posted what I did have of a reworked level 9 profile instead.

Age old Althanas law states you are bound by whatever is your most recent profile when you make your first post in a thread. So yeah, if you beat your first round opponent, and manage to level up, post your update and get it approved before the next round begins, you could potentially level between rounds.

The character I would like to enter with. As it is still pending approval, I will change anything that needs to be changed.

Registration is now closed. There will be a three day grace period during which y'all may finish getting your characters approved. Anyone who hasn't at least posted a profile an update at that point will not be allowed to participate.

At the end of the grace period I will post the bracket, gambling, and the tournaments revised start date.
