Citadel Wager Matches are a great way to gain (or lose) EXP fast. Originally a concept of its own, the wager matches have been added to the Citadel to make room for an upcoming new concept. Be sure to read and understand the points below before opting to make or accept a Citadel Challenge.

Rules and Regulations

  • All of the basic rules for combat in Althanas are active in wager matches. These include the rules related to power gaming and bunnying.
  • Battles are started by way of challenges. Challenges can be bilateral (arranged), unilateral or open. Which ever method you choose, don’t forget to display the name of those participating somewhere the title of the thread or the body of the post. You can also use the Challenges thread to find an opponent.
  • All challenges must include a wager. A wager is an amount of his or her character's EXP, up to 5000 EXP that the challenger wants to place on the battle. Wagers are accepted by posting in the thread. Both participants should include the amount of the wager in their opening battle posts.
  • You can negotiate a wager in the Challenges thread, but it does not become "official" until the challengee (the person being challenged) posts in the battle thread.
  • If a participant does not post for a month, their opponent may contact a Features moderator and be deemed the winner by default.
  • When a battle is finished, please submit it using the judgment submission system.
  • Battles are graded by a judge using the Althanas rubric of your choice. EXP will be awarded for the battle, and the wager will be added to the final total. GP and other spoils will be distributed per normal.
  • As always in the Citadel, the characters are healed between battles.
