As far as I'm concerned, none of the cities really need too much "fleshing out". Some basic info, sure, so the writer gets the general picture, but too much info wouldn't leave enough freedom for people to write what they want. Because once you have a lot of detailed info, then people will stick to it blindly for the sake of continuity, which in turn usually degrades their creativity. At least that's how I always felt.

I assure you, Letho, that my intention is to build the players' confidence in playing in a particular locale, and I understand that there's a delicate balance I have to strike here. And there's nothing that says players HAVE to use the information.

A piece of advice I'll give you since wiki is becoming sort of your pet project over this is not to get too steeped in this. Region writing was phased out for a reason, and it seems as if you're starting to try and replicate the process in order to get the wiki to work out. On a personal note, I invested a lot of time and energy trying to develop Salvar and never quite finished it. I ended up leaving for personal reasons, but the one thing I took from it was that there really isn't much of a point to provide that amount of detail to any one area. Everybody here is smart enough to picture these areas in their heads with some basic information and details about the place. But, in the end, the way people see things are going to be drastically different.

I gaurantee you that I see Radasanth far more differently then anybody here. And its fluid, changing with the story. I'm not so concerned with 'limiting the freedom of writers' because its a copout argument anyway. It doesn't have a lot of merit here and people are free to ignore whatever canon you provide. I'm just saying that the work you're going to be putting yourself through isn't worth the results. Take that however you want it.

Vague enough to still allow for creativity, but detailed enough to get a general picture of the area.

I suppose just giving a general idea of architecture of the area and some locations of interest and leave it as that?

I vote anything but Radasanth. Why flesh that out when there's a war on, and it's likely to change? Wait until after the war for that one.

I'm getting the feeling that everyone thinks I'm about to throw down seven pages of info about each of these cities. They'll just be a few paragraphs. One paragraph for the city's history, a list of its locations of interest and a brief description of each, another about its general layout, and maybe a last one dealing with miscellaneous info. You guys are free to use it however you like. Just to give you an example of what I mean I'll use Radasanth first. Letho, you and your predecessors have done most of the work for me here. All I have to do is summarize the history you've provided for Radasanth taking it from here. That's one paragraph, two at the most. Use the layout that you've provided here. Expand a TINY bit on the Citadel, add an administrative headquarters for the Empire, and that's it. I'd take all that info and put it into one place for easy access. All of that information that you have provided is fleshed out to just the right amount of detail. No one's restricted by it. No one's complaining about it.

Other locales deserve what Radasanth already has. None of those cities have anything close to what we already have for the Capital of Corone. Not even the basic details.

Vigil, you're an intelligent guy and you've been here for years. You know how things work around here. No one's going to call you out for interpreting Radasanth or any of these other cities the way you want. With that being said this wouldn't necessarily be for people like you. This would be for those who would like a bit of a jump start.

I like jump starts. I like having something that's "basic," like a bestiary, some information about the political setup of a land, a map of the continent, places of interest, stuff like that. Granted, as a writer, you can take exception. You can add a "boss encounter" and fight something not listed. You could describe a syndicate that exists beneath the major political spectrum. You can found a new city in a continent. Have your fun.

Ettermire! Honestly, people play Radasanth however they want, Knife's Edge is torn up after the civil war, Fallien isn't that big for interest, and nobody cares about Dheathain..
