Althanas's First Vignette Tournament

Hello all!

The Althanas Staff is pleased to announce the impending arrival of a brand new event: the inaugural Vignette Tournament!

For those of you who are new to the concept, a vignette is a short, one-post story based on a prompt. These prompts will be provided to you at the beginning of the round, and can range anywhere from mundane “slice of life” topics to hypothetical “What if?” situations.

This will be a relatively fast-paced event with four rounds. Each round will run for five days from Monday to Friday, and Christoph and I will use the weekends to judge entries and to prepare the next round. No registration will be required to participate in this event (although participating members will need approved character profiles, as always), and unlike past Althanas tournaments there will be no elimination – everybody is invited to participate in every round. The winners of the tournament will be determined by total points earned at the end of the final round.

The rules will be explained in further detail this weekend, and the first round will begin on Monday, January 9 at 12:01 AM EST. In the meantime, please PM me if you have any questions. We're looking forward to reading all of your entries!
