Personality:
Bubbly, cheerful, airheaded, teasing, and mischevious, Ihime Lar behaves somewhat like a minor, nonaggressive fairy who knows words with more than two syllables. It's difficult to get her to pay continuous attention to any one thing for more than half a minute or so; she isn't so much distracted as that her mind gets bored and adds another topic alongside the first. This wouldn't be so much of a problem if she didn't inadvertently mix up the two streams of thought on a regular basis. It doesn't help that, when this happens, she tends to just run with the result.
While it was proper and traditional as fey for Ihime to act in this way, she could no more constrain herself to just these considerations than a size-8 werewolf can comfortably fit in a size-1 bathrobe. There is simply too much thinking going on in that pretty little head, whether imagination, calculation, or analysis. Underlying all that innocuous appearance is a scheming, manipulative, ruthless, and above all bored personality. It seldom shows itself directly, moving only through subtle, shrewd actions disguised as nonsense. On many topics, Ihime is far too lazy to care about the outcome. On many others, she puts excessive amounts of effort into it for her own amusement. The key is that the importance and seriousness of these topics have nothing to do with which ones she picks as pet projects.
Like her sister, Ihime is also anal-retentive in all things household-related. She treats Althanas as an exotic foreign vacation with all expenses paid (by her victims, of course. Fairies are kleptomaniacs by nature, due to their relatively poor grasp of the concept of ownership.)
Appearance:
Short, spritely, and gently toned, Ihime would probably be described as 'petit' if she didn't resent how the word seems to diminish her royal status. Her Hellenistic features included a tall nose and delicately raised cheek bones. There was always a faint, rosy hue about her fair complexion; on certain occasions this flushes into a luminous pink that is glorious to behond. An entirely impractical mane of golden hair (not just blonde. Actually golden-hued) cascades thickly down to the floor and trails on the ground - that is, during the times when she actually allows it to be loose. More commonly, it is bound up in complicated variations of tails, buns, and other forms of epic hair sculpting.
In Althanas, there are times when she dresses as a tourist, meaning in local articles of clothing with very little regard to which bits traditionally go with which other bits. It would be entirely in-line to see her wearing a cape over a cloak over a robe one day because she decided that "flowy" was the fashion today. There are also times when she dresses as Princess Ihime Lars. This calls for white blouse, red ascot, light blue dress, a frilly white apron secured with a huge bow in the back, white stockings, and red lace-up boots.
The three constants between the two appearances are her hat, her shawl, and pockets. The hat is a black hat with a broad brim and decorated with a red ribbon. The shawl is such a nice shawl that it is described in its own section. There are always pockets, whether hidden or obvious. If the outfit doesn't come with pockets, then she's liable to wear an apron over it.
History:
Hailing from a satellite world of Tenger Jerhal known as The Hearth, Ihime and her twin Ags Ihime are ruling princesses over household fairies. They've left their home world for Althanas both out of curiosity and to investigate their human father, and though they are wanted back, they don't particularly agree.
Skills:
Housekeeping –– Self-explanatory.
Sewing –– She's an expert seamstress and can craft remarkable things using various materials, including some rather extraordinary ones.
Cooking –– She's somewhat of an expert chef, better than her sister.
Organization -- She's rather good at delegating things and organizing fairy resources so that things happen efficiently, quickly, and with less than usual drunken brawling.
Abilities:
Household Sovereign –– She has the respect of and command over Althanas household-dwelling spirits such as brownies, hobs, and boggarts. This applies to helpful, mischievous, and malicious spirits alike.
Pocket to Pocket –– She can cause a pocket to open to the space in another pocket rather than the space usually associated with the former. She must have previously seen both of the pockets to be linked together. The link doesn't have to be bilateral; pocket A can open to pocket B while pocket B opens to pocket C. She must undo the link manually or it will last for a few hours after she leaves it. She can even make a pocket open into another room, under the consideration that a room is a really big pocket for people.
Majesty –– As a fairy who hasn't really much talent with producing illusions using her inherent magic, she's instead specialized in a very peculiar form of the ability that causes others to perceive her as a being somehow greater than them and deserving of adulation, protection, and/or obedience. This works in a crowd even if the constituents in a crowd have different ideas of what a "more perfect being" should be like. It is not a form of mind-control but rather perception control; people and animals perceive her differently and form their own behavior around that. The perceptive tend to notice their own observations shifting and become aware. The strong-willed tend to resist being influenced altogether. It can simultaneously affect no more than three people, due to needing to flex the image.
Equipment:
Seamless Sky Shawl –– This is a piece of surplus sky from when The Hearth was created. It is, quite literally, a piece of firmament in the form of a long shawl. Putting frills on it was one of the great achievements of joint sewing between Ags and Ihime. It is always the temperature of a warm summer's day or night (depending on the time in The Hearth), light as a feather, won't blow away in the wind, and immune to any damage/dirt that wouldn't permanently damage or soil the sky.
Primordial Cookbook -- This is a heavily annotated cookbook that contains more pages than seems like should exist in a palm-sized package. Ihime keeps it in her hat.
