Primary Locations
Latherl - If Aracha Lotan had to consider something its capital city, this is it. Latherl is a city of elementals, noble creatures with no gender. High buildings of ice, earth, fire and wind lay all about the city, along with statues that rival the Citadel's size. Everything is constructed of magic. Everything is bright with color. Latherl is located in the center of the Forest of Flames.
The Valley of Fallen Shards - A valley littered with magic and monsters, one cannot take fifty steps without seeing a relic, ruin, magic imbalance or monster.
Lair of Glimmerfang - Not so much a city, but a landmark. Glimmerfang is a red dragon that inhabits a western square of the valley. The greatest treasures in Aracha Lotan are found here... Beneath his body.
Hob'Bloa - City of goblins, trolls and orcs. The inhabitants of this hill town are unlike their worldly brothers, in that they are wealthy and somewhat civilized. They still hold true to their crude roots, when it comes to theft punishment, but the many riches of Aracha Lotan have transformed this colorful city into a home for the Goblinoids of Althanas who have grown tired of the stigma that follows them. If they can survive the perils of the valley as they travel, this city would be their ultimate destination.
The Forest of Flames - Aracha Lotan has no trees, for the magic imbalances have changed the land, yet this is still considered a forest by scholars. The trees are actually spires of flame that burn forever, painting the ground red. Trunks, branches and leaves alike are merely flames that challenge the traveler. Passing through the forest is neccessary to reach Latherl City, which is at the core. The mighty Snakes of Fire inhabit this forest, but are thankfully rare.
History
A thousand years ago, the two greatest wizards of the Tesserar continent engaged in a battle that rocked the very face of the continent. The two battled for a hundred years, in an ongoing struggle of magic in which the advantage was always swaying. Eventually, they each conjured their post potent spells, resulting in a great explosion of magic that destroyed them both. From their destroyed bodies fell the many elementals and monsters that inhabit Aracha Lotan, and from their magic came the relics, the gems, the very colors themselves that paint the landscape.
Military - Aracha Lotan has no set military, due to their lack of a formal hierarchy, but the region is filled with so many beasts that it is unlikely a battle could occur without interference anyway. It seems that all of the land's creatures have an innate desire to protect their homeland, whether or not they themselves are in danger. Latherl City has a force of elemental wizards that defend the city and maintain the many protective enchantments.
System of Government - None.

Bestiary
Rogue Elementals - Ranging in any kind of imaginable element, these violent creatures are made of any one type of color and shape. They are powerful in offensive magic, and their bodies (especially in the case of ice and earth elementals) are resistant to slashing weapons. It is fortunate that they do not roam with one another. Rogue Elementals can grow to be as big as a modern home, but their shape and size vary greatly.
Snakes of Fire - These unique creatures are volatile and dangerous. Long, enormous serpents made entirely of flame, the Snakes are also capable of spitting flames rather than venom. One bite from these monsters breathes fire into the body, burning the innards of its victim.
Orven - Orven are akin to trolls, in that they are large humanoid creatures with great strength. However, unlike trolls, Orven are resistant to magic of all sorts, dulling many spells simply due to the nature of its skin. Thus, the most effective way to deal with the four-armed creatures is to hinder it with detrimental spells, then simply flee. Only the most mighty of warriors can hope to take down an Orven on their own.
Eldritch Dragon - Unlike their distant brothers, Eldritch Dragons are only around three times the size of a human, and stand on their hind legs. They have long, curved horns, the length of which is an indication of their place in dragon society and the powers which they hold. Eldritch Dragons use incredible magic the likes of which few men ever see, from storms of fire to creating pools of acid in the ground. The number of men to have killed an Eldritch Dragon on their own can be counter on one hand.

ETC.

Dwarves, among other races, build small cities in the valleys of Aracha Lotan in order to establish mining. The region is rich in viens of Mithril and Vallrai, so much so that one cannot travel for more than ten minutes without finding an area rich for mining.

Aracha Lotan is the only region on Althanas that has Vallrai ore. The metal is resistant not only to magic and physical attacks, but actually absorbs coldness, growing spines whenever it gets to frigid.

'Magic Imbalances' are found all about Aracha Lotan. These phenomena are actually spells that are stuck in one place. For example, walking through the valley one may witness a dervish of fire swaying in one place. These imbalances are dangerous, in that they react to lifeforms that come too close, springing to life and reacting in different ways.
