"So....why am I looking at a fifteen story tall fetus?" Zack Blaze asked the obvious question to the Vice-President of Misery Business Incorporated, Robert Uccisore.

Robert pushed his glasses up and wiped sweat from his forehead with a smile on his face. "Everything you have been doing recently has been leading to this point; nearly butchering Kyla Orlouge, allowing Talen to delve deeper into the dark side, hell, fighting that pit bull when you were escorting that one girl. Every vicious thing you have done has fed this being known as Janani. It is said this creature is a direct heir to the dark Thayne, N'Jal, and that his revival will bring about a new world."

Zack listened intently while his eyes scanned the area. The 'fetus' in question was massive, suspended in the air by three chains on each limb, though the links appeared to be weak and rusted. The body gave labored breaths, the eyes no more than a squint. Janani dripped a strange combination of blood and afterbirth onto the granite floor, only for the pool of liquid that formed to eat away at the solid stone. The 'Savior of Underwood' appeared unfazed by both the oversized 'bundle of joy' as well as the fact that he was working towards the goal of nourishing this thing. "So what? Am I like this things daddy for all the bad stuff I'm doing?"

"Hardly," Robert pointed to the ivory white pillars where each set of chains ended. The construction of the pillars seemed sturdy enough, as did the adamantine ring that held each group of linked metal tethered to the foundation, "the pillars there are keeping Janani from a proper birth. By doing what you're doing, you have weakened the bonds that hold him in place. If you can free him up, it will be the perfect opportunity for Misery Business to slay what is essentially the spawn of the devil. All you have to do is one more thing and we'll have our people here ready to capitalize."

"And what pray tel is this last---oh fuck me."

Zack never got the opportunity to finish his thought. Robert was gone, and now there was one of the scariest sights on Althanas hovering in the air before him. Before the brawler was the mighty 'Silence' Sei Orlouge.

Zack Blaze was an idiot.

Even by normal standards, the dullest of villains knew better than to mess with the Ixian Knights. Not only did Zack Blaze have the audacity to be a thorn in the side of Sei and his ilk for some time now, he was also not above bringing harm to the Mystic's family. He had at first thought the rumors of Zack's victory over his adoptive daughter to be heresay, but once word had gotten out that the street fighter was trying to openly antagonize the IK, Sei felt he had to step in. Luckily, the Avatar of Alerar did not have to go through the process of tracking down the platinum blonde warrior.

He had received a letter a fortnight ago explaining in detail exactly where Zack Blaze would be. It was an opportunity that was a few words short from outright spelling 'trap', but it was too good of a chance for the mute to pass. As such, Sei prepared himself, making sure to equip himself with his entire arsenal before setting off.

He did not expect to be staring at a giant unborn baby when he had left the castle.

He tried not to let the squinting eyes of the child disturb him from his mission. He watched Zack Blaze as he lowered himself to the ground. His wings retracted into his back, and the Mystic took a deep breath before he 'spoke'. "Zack Blaze, you have about ten seconds to surrender to the Ixian Knights, or I will be forced to take you by force. Rest assured that if you come with me now, you will face a fair trial for your misdeeds, but that is the only form of amnesty I can offer you."

The mute crossed his arms and awaited the fighter's reply.

"You think you got everything all figured out, don't you Orlouge?" Zack snickered as he approached his would-be arresting officer, "I bet Kyla came to you crying her little eyes out. Well, you know, when you differentiate tears from the blood and pus that was probably covering her face." Zack pursed his lips as if this thought required more details to it. In truth, he knew that Kyla Orlouge was much too proud to ask her father for assistance on any matter, and Zack expected to one day encounter the Daughter of the Dragon once and for all one day. Today, however, he had to overcome the obstacle that was her father.

"I'm sure you figured out that I've studied up on your race quite a bit. I don't know if you remember, but during the war for Corone, your girl split my face open with some fire glass. Doctors pronounced me physically dead, and I still don't know how they brought me back. Maybe my employers got some Ai'Borne in their pockets, I don't know. What I did discover is that I can attack you right here and now without ever touching you beforehand, or even gaining your trust to where you think I won't hurt you." Zack met with the eyes of the powerful wizard, who now had his eyebrow cocked up in an inquisitive look. The young man had the Dragon's attention.

Zack looked upwards towards the giant fetus, its shadow loomed over the two warriors like a constant reminder of the bigger threat. He sincerely hoped that Robert knew what he was doing, and that Misery Business Incorporated could indeed slay the child of the very embodiment of evil. He moved to the side as another large blood/afterbirth mixture hit the ground once more and a single droplet splashed upon Zack's blue pants. He could feel the liquid quickly eat away at the fabric and gasped. He shook his leg quickly, the acidic compound flying off before it could eat away at his flesh.

"Now, I noticed that most of the people who attack you guys and activate that glass shield, they're using either liquid or solid attack. Nobody has really noticed because most people don't think about using a gas attack on a Mystic. Why would they? Any sort of bomb they used would activate the shield thanks to the force of the blast. However..." As Zack spoke, he had approached Sei to the point that the two of them were now face-to-face. He smiled, his pearl white teeth a flash among his perfect peach-colored features.

The saliva had built up enough for Zack to try this technique. It was a move that he held back on until this very moment. As Zack looked directly into the face of what would most certainly be his end, he spit out the compound he built up in his mouth. Instead of spit or saliva, what came out of the street fighter's mouth was a fine green mist-like spray. The cloud of dew flew towards Sei, and Zack Blaze hoped that the proximity between the two was now so close, that the mute would not be able to dodge.
