Race: Jex, a race of anthromorphs with long slender muzzles, tall feathery ears, and tails as long as their bodies with enough fluff to make them large enough to be used as a body pillow. Their fur comes in a large range of different colors, with no set pattern even among relatives. Their bodies by nature are immensely magical, however very few are born with an ability to channel and control magic, making mages amoung them very rare.

Personality: Kina is often laid back and curious about her surroundings, loving to explore places and see new things. She tries to be kind to those she meets, but she can have quiet the temper for those that push her the wrong way.

History: Kinatoko was born to a small village hidden deep in the forests of Raiaera, where her kind hide away from the world. Growing up, the young jex had a fondness for magic and exploration and from the time she had learned to read if she wasn't out exploring the woods around her village, her nose was deep in books about magical lore. When she was just 10 years in age, it was discovered she had the rare ability among her kind to channel and use magic, and she was instantly put under the tutelage of the only other jex in the village who had the same gift, an elder who's once brilliant blue and green fur had faded and grayed in age.

Under the guide of the elder jex, Kinatoko learned the basics of magic and how to control it, as well as how to defend herself without it and survive in the wild on her own, for while the jex race kept to themselves away from the world, the few that had the gift to become mages were required to leave home and journey out to expand their knowledge and grow their talent. On the day of her 19th birthday, the young jex was given the basic tools she needed, and was sent away with a grand celebration. Eager to see the world and learn more about magic, the young jex left home with a smile on her face, ready to take on whatever came her way.

Appearance: Kinatoko has an average build for her kind, standing roughly 5'4 with a slight build. Like the rest of her kind she has a slender muzzle, wide feathery ears that rise about a foot up from her head, and large tail covered in fluff. Her fur like most is striped on top and white on bottom. Her torso is white from her cheeks to inner thighs, while the rest is mainly a pinkish color that fades to purple, then blue along the end of her tail and ears. Black stripes cut through the colors at multiple angles to make segmented patches of the main colors of her fur. Her feet are digigrade, ending in animalistic paws with four toes that house sharp claws. Her large eyes are golden in color, with vertically slit pupils. She has short, jet black hair that fades to a deep purple at the ends.

Skills:

Jex Body: By nature, the body of a jex is imbued with immense magic, allowing the few with the gift for it to use their own body as a catalyst for spells similar to a staff or wand, however doing so without proper training can be dangerous. Kina has had some training in this thanks to her mentor, however she still has a long way to go before she can fully harness these powers.

Magical Knowledge: From the time she learned Kinatoko has read every book she could find on magic, and the training of her mentor only helped her further this knowledge. Kinatoko has the same level of magical knowledge as most who have studied it for years, and can recall everything she has learned with near perfect memory.

Wilderness Survival: Before she left home, Kinatoko was instructed on how to live out in the wild and survive on her own. She can recognize plants of many kinds and knows how to hunt and set traps, as well as how to sneak through the woods and mask her scent and trail.

Weaponised Combat: Kinatoko was given basic training on fighting with both a quarterstaff and a short sword, allowing her to defend herself in a situation where magic can not help her.

Abilities:

Magic Bolt: Kinatoko can launch a concentrated bolt of magical energy that launches at the speed of an arrow shot from a short bow, unlike an arrow however the bolt flies a straight path and does not lose it's momentum. She can fire the bolt for a distance of 12 meters before it dissipates, and it impacts with enough force to penetrate hide and leather with relative ease, dealing damage similar to being hit with an iron arrow at point blank. She can fire off 4 of these before she needs to rest to recharge her magic.

Levitation: Kinatoko has the ability to magically lift objects around her up to 10lbs and within 5 meters of her. While lifting an object, she can throw it as hard as she could physically, or move it around the 5 meter range. Doing this requires her to maintain focus on the object, and any break in concentration will make her drop whatever she is lifting at the time. Lifting objects 5lb's or under for her is as easy as lifting them physically, and barely drain her, allowing her to hold them for several minutes at a time, however lifting objects 6-10lbs requires significant concentration and can magically drain her if she attempts it for longer than 2-3 minutes.

Recharge: Once a day Kinatoko can harness the natural magic in her body to recharge her magical energy and regain her ability to cast spells. The process takes time however and is virtually unusable in combat, as interrupting it can leave her more drained than before both magically and physically. The process takes at least 5 minutes to fully charge her magic, during which she is vulnerable.

Equipment/Weapons:

Armor/clothing: Kinatoko wears simple clothe robes fitted to allow free movement without hindering her. The robes are black in color, the long sleeves fit loosely around her arms. The torso fits tight to her body, the neck cut in a low V while the bottom stretches down to her ankles. She also wears a hat that resembles a stereotypical wizards hat with a wide brim all the way around and lead up to a point in the middle. The hat has two holes stitched into it wide enough for her ears to fit through. She carries a large satchel slung over her shoulder that hangs at her waist to her left side to carry supplies, and a simple loop on her right side to hold a sword.

Quarterstaff: A simple oak staff given to her by her mentor that can be used to channel spells or as a weapon. The staff is very sturdy, and is as long as she is tall with jagged patterns etched all along it's surface as both decoration and allowing a firmer grip.

Short sword: A simple iron short sword with a small hilt and handle wrapped in leather.

So to clarify on your first ability, it's basically a magical arrow that dissipates with distance? How hard does it hit? Is the damage it deals comparable to a pointblank arrow shot? I need to have an idea of what sort of damage this could do to someone.

If you don't have an easy answer to these questions I could always help you find something that would fit.

As for the recharge ability, what sort of meditation time are we looking at? Minutes? Hours?
