History: Ozoric is the bastard son of the emperor of Corone and an ancient dragon named Chalazae. He believes he is twenty four years old, but is two hundred years of age. Unwanted by his father, and scorned by his mother, he was sent to the Drakengard to live out his live in exile. He became an initiate, and began his sentence serving the Dragoons and their mounts.

In the tall towers of the Drakengard Ozoric was well educated. He learnt of the history of the Dragoons and the penal colony which served the Empire in its formative years. The Dragoon once served the emperor, and its soldiers could earn their freedom through military service. When the rebellion started a century prior, the Drakengard was forgotten and its towers left to crumble.

Though the Dragoon exists only to shackle dragons in mountain spires, vestiges of their splendour remains. Taught how to fight and command the great sky lizards, Ozoric has slowly begun to forgive his own self-loathing. He forgave his father. Though he hopes one day to return to Radasanth, he has found temporary solace in the beat of wings and heat of dragon fire.

Now he is aware of his true heritage, his dedication to the Drakengard has double. When he heard the Storm Hold and called the dragon's home he realised he is not just a bastard. He is the first half dragon to be a lancer in centuries. He can bridge the gap between the increasingly wild dragons and the sloth-like dragoons, thought abandoned and without purpose.

Ozoric has begun to prove himself to the upper echelons of the dragoons in reconnaissance and battle. Though he has yet to kill another, to overcome his pacifism, he is finding himself increasingly exposed to conflict. Eiskalt was testament to the fact that war is in the Drakengard’s soul, and even without an oppressive regime to govern them – they have to fight.

Ozoric was sent to meet with the leader of the Ixian Knights, new rulers of Corone. They found unlikely allies in the motley crew of heroes. With their passions reignited, the Drakengard seeks now to claim its independence from Corone and carve out a kingdom of its own in the windswept mounts north of the capital city Radasanth. Dragons fly again in the skies.

All the while he serves his kin, Ozoric cannot help but think about the inevitable day when he crosses paths with his mother. Though his father is long dead, an ancient dragon, especially the last of her kind, is not so easy to kill. Soon, he will have to answer to her and seek answers in kind. He must prepare himself for that day, for failure is not an option.

Skills:

Academia: Ozoric is highly intelligent, calculating and literate, and possesses an adept level of academic comprehension.

Strategy: Ozoric has mastered basic military principles. He has developed adept understanding of military stratagems and psychological warfare.

Riding: Ozoric is an above average rider on equestrian mounts, and an average rider on dragon back. He can repair tack and fight on horseback.

Knowledge (History): Ozoric’s grasp of world history is exemplary. He has particular interest in political history and the heraldry of nations.

Marshalling: Ozoric is a competent smith, squire and consul. He can fix armour, repair and sharpen swords and lances, and prepare knights for battle.

Abilities:

Dragonborn: Ozoric is the offspring of an ancient dragon mother and human father. Whilst he appears human, he possesses many draconic traits:

• Affinity: Ozoric is immune to dragon fire. His clothing and armour and weapons, however, will still suffer appropriate damage.

• Empathy: Ozoric can communicate with full and half dragons. His aura causes most dragons to consider him an ally.

• Agility: Ozoric can use thermal convection to leap up to 100ft once per two posts, and levitate at walking pace for up to five minutes daily.

Inventory:

Murduk: Dragoon armour made of leather and chainmail. It is decorated and is tanned red. Has more defence on the lance arm and side of legs.

Tamar: A pair of red steel-toed boots. The wearer can fall from 100ft unharmed, provided he lands with both feet first and is conscious.
