1st January, 2017

Featured Region: Alerar

The dawn of a new year has fallen on the Dark Elves. With temperatures cool, the Dwarves have limited their forges to minimal production. On the opposite side of the spectrum, the steam engines that drive the production lines in Ettermire are firing full cylinder and workers are able to spend more time in the line without heat stroke.

People from all around are flocking the city markets to take advantage of increased production. With increased output also comes increased pollution. The citizens of Ettermire have fallen ill from toxic byproducts in the air. Local figureheads have called for aide from nearby heroes to bring medicine, healing, respirators, and any means of staving the threat of pollution. Specifically, spidersilk respirators.

Any threads completed in Alerar between January 1st 2017 and 31st March 2017 will be eligible for a 1.5x bonus to EXP and GP! Will you answer Ettermire's call for help to deal with the effects of the toxicity?

The Althies 2016/17

Our yearly award ceremony is almost upon us! Nominations for the Althy Awards open from 1st January 2017!

To recap, the Althies are an opportunity for the forum to celebrate the many accomplishments made by our members during 2016.

As with previous Althies, there will be a number of pre-determined categories. Once the event opens, the first step will be naming members for these awards, which members can do in the nominations thread. After a week, nominations will be closed. The top three nominees (as in the three players with the most nominations) will be eligible for the award. If there is a tie, that member will also be added to the poll. Afterward, each category will be assigned its own unique poll, where members will be able to cast their final vote for one week. Everyone can vote, but only once!

Winners will receive rewards and the elusive Althy Award Badge. Remember, as always, that it is possible to win multiple Althies!

May we take this opportunity to wish all of our members a happy new year!
