As she heard the cries and moans of the Walkers, her legs sped up, her arms pumping as fast as she could. Her lungs were screaming for her to stop, but she couldn't. Not until she was safe with the others. Tears streamed down her face as she stared in horror at the scene unfolding before her. Hundreds of the Undead were surrounding Lorenor. Even though the Paladin seemed strong, the sheer numbers of them terrified her.

When she turned back around, she realized she was closer to the group than she thought. Just then, she felt a tug on her left foot. Maen collapsed on the ground, turning to look at her ankle. The Walker was female, that was obvious. She moaned, her eye-less sockets staring her down. "Ah.." Maen's cry was shaky as she pulled a small iron dagger from her belt, swinging the blade in order to hit the Walker on the head. She struck the Walker on the head, wedging it so it cracked, screaming. When the grip on her ankle loosened, Maen rose and began running once more.

"He -- Help!" She flung herself in the direction of the woman, gasping for air. Her hand was shaking as she reached to her thigh, holding it. The scrape was long and painful, but not deep. "Thank you, Drys!" She cried, trying to stand. Faltering, she began limping towards Rayleigh, holding her dagger with a tight grip. She was only hobbling slightly faster than the Walkers who were chasing her.
