Drusilia seeks to close the door on a chapter of her life by resolving unfinished business with Podë, the Red Witch and one of the Forgotten Ones as well as the creator of the Red Forest. When confronting the old rival, Drusilia is offered the one thing she so desperately craves: being reunited with her lost love. However, the diplomatic potential dissolves as Drusilia realizes that it is all a ruse. Battle ensues as both combatants, weakened for vastly different reasons, fight to the death to finish the age-old rivalry. Drusilia overcomes her foe, barely, and returns to Lietenant Verryna to report on the events. Drusilia, despite her weariness and deteriorating body, swears to hunt down the simulacrums of Podë hidden in the Red Forest, ridding Althanas of the Red Witch once and for all. Whether or not she succeeds, only time will tell.
