Location: A small unimportant village in Corone, you have probably never heard of it …

Family: Aenon actually has quite a large family and was one of many siblings, a middle child in fact, but unlike the others has, as yet, not made much of himself and has lost contact with all of his siblings now as well as his parents and even his extended family. He has little to no idea as to what any of them are doing or even where, though he is fairly sure that they are probably doing better than him.

Occupation and History: Aenon is a cottar by trade and so over time, has had a lot of odd jobs of considerable effort and very little pay. Most of these have included an excessive amount of manual labour, boredom or an unfortunate excess of both to the extent that none of the jobs are ones that normal people would want to do for any length of time and to be if honest, if they could help it … ever.

He has spent a few years as a labourer, where he has built things that were useful enough, but not particularly memorable in any way. The road sign into the town was part of his handiwork; he also helped in the crafting of some nails at the local blacksmith shop and carried some stone to the masons. He has had some seasonal work as a farm hand, where he spent most of the time mucking out the pigs or helping with a harvest as one of many unimportant labourers.

He tried working as a server at the tavern at one point, refilling drinks and clearing plates, which he was actually okay at. He could pass through the crowded bars unnoticed and silent, though this backfired when no one could ever recall him actually doing the work and resulted in them rather unfairly refusing to pay for the service.

If he was to really think about it, the most interesting job and rewarding job he had so far was probably as the guard for the local prison, but even then the town is very small and has had little to no crime, as long as anyone can remember. The only inmate he could even remember having to guard had been the local drunk, who had slept the night through. So in essence his most interesting job had been guarding an empty cell, in a quiet town, just in case something happened … and it never did.

So he had just stood there … and left his mind to wander the world without him.
Which in turn really describes almost every job he had ever done, his attitude to them and his own minds total agreement with his family and neighbours that his existence here, was not worth waiting around for.

Which brings us to now, the point his feet have finally realised that they are in complete agreement with his wandering mind and have walked right out of the village towards the wider world.
With the solitary hope that something … anything … will happen.


Weapon and Clothes: Aenon does have a small knife which he uses for eating and as a general tool, he could probably fight with it if he had too, though he has had no experience fighting and would not be particularly proficient in it. He has worn weapons before in the past (specifically a small cudgel) as it came with a job, but he never really had need to use it and was more for appearances anyway. His current clothes are worn, but not so much that they are tattered, or noticeably dirty, nor do they have intricate designs or colours or even a notable smell. They are average, brown and boring. The only notable item on his person being his cloak which has a hood, but even that is brown and has no special properties unless you count being borderline satisfactory at keeping out the cold, the rain and on occasion the sun from your eyes.

Skills:
Aenon has considerable knowledge and skill in a great number of crafts and trades after taking part as some form of lackey in what feels like almost all of them at some point. He is not particularly good at any of them, but would be considered serviceable (if you were short of people) by anyone proficient in the craft (See Ability 2).

The only real exception to this rule is Magic of which he has no knowledge or skill whatsoever;
Fighting; where he has a very rudimentary understanding, having never really needed to fight but could learn if experience and life demanded it of him and finally talking which he is ok at but due to his average nature (See Ability 1), no one has really given him much opportunity or desire to develop or practice.

The one skill that he is proficient in to a good level is reading and thinking which he has taught himself while he worked at doing nothing for little more than the same.

Abilities:
1) Average to the point of invisibility:
Aenon is not magic in anyway nor has he the ability to turn himself invisible, nothing so interesting.
If fact it is the reverse, he is so un-interesting, so average and without note that he can go through a crowd and not be noticed by anyone. He is a background character, an extra of an extra in the play of life. So in turn he could in theory go places that people would normally not have access but not due to any great skill or care of his, people just do not care. He could walk into a military base and people would assume he was there to fix the slight slant on the map table or the shelf that does not sit quite right. This lack of notice could in theory extend to combat as people are not threatened by a nobody and certainly not a nobody with an eating utensil. For example if he and a group of people were to be attacked by bandits, he would likely be the last one to be attacked and even then he could likely wander off in the confusion and no one would be any the wiser.
He would just feel bad for doing so.

This of course is no advantage in a one on one combat as if there is no one else to distract his ‘opponent’ from his lack-lustre presence then they will still be aware of said presence, unless something more interesting (pretty much anything) were to occur.

2) Jack of all trades and master of none:
Aenon has gone through quite a few jobs both manual and mundane. With this he has picked up a good deal of technical skill for lots of different things to a satisfactory level.
Due to this he has managed to acquire a knack for learning things to a serviceable level much quicker than people normally would, especially if he has done something similar at some time in the past which in most cases he has. It would still take him the normal amount of time to master a skill but he has a good chance of just being able to pick something up on the go and improvise in the same manner as someone who had done the same thing for a number of years without really putting their heart or any real effort into developing that skill as it was of little or no interest.
