    HQ Information

    A Headquarters is a forum that a Clan can use for roleplaying, running a business, organizing events, or really anything else you can think of for a forum.

    To own an HQ, you must establish the existence of the HQ in the real world. You can do this in any sort of way, from questing for the building to buying it in the Guild Shop. But be warned -- simply purchasing the HQ might cost you a pretty penny! Using your roleplaying to justify the construction of an HQ is a much better way of proceeding.

    An example might be conducting a series of clan-sponsored quests, and at the end of them request the HQ as a spoil.

    Victors in Clan Hostilities will have all costs for a basic HQ waived. A HQ within moderate limits is fine. You want a manor outside Radasanth? Fine. You want a floating island in the sky with laser turrets and gravitational blasters? You can have it, but you'll be paying extra. Winning Clan Hostilities grants you the right to have a HQ within reason, not to have the coolest fortress you've ever dreamed of.

    After the construction, you can buy special additions to your HQ via the Guild Shop -- up to two subforums, special permission for different moderators of the clan forums, or other perks. You can also get these in clan quests, if you prefer.

    HQs may be hosted on the PG forum or located in a specific region. In the event of the latter, the PG leader will need to discuss his or her plans with the continent writer and receive approval before going forward. This helps the writer insure continuity within the region. The writer may also, if a Clan proves itself unwilling to work with the writer later, eject a Clan from a position in their region -- if this happens, the Clan forum can still be hosted within the Power Groups area.

    Elite HQ Rewards

    The first three HQs to appear on Althanas will be designated as "Elite HQs." These HQs will offer certain special rewards. There can be an infinite number of HQs on Althanas, but only these three will receive special monthly rewards.

    If an Elite HQ is conquered by a group that already has an HQ, then the group's original HQ (or Capital HQ, see below) HQ will become an elite HQ.

    PGs with HQs will receive the following awards:
    1. 2000 GP per month.
    2. 1000 EXP per month.
    Both of these may be split as the Clan Leader directs. The Clan Leader may also decide to pay money into the PG Treasury from the GP amount, effectively "stockpiling" the reward, but cannot similarly stockpile EXP.

    The PG moderator may block any player from receiving rewards if they feel the system is being abused in an unfair fashion.

    Minimum Balance

    Owning an HQ will require you to maintain a minimum balance in your PG Treasury Account of 2500 GP.

    Owning Multiple Headquarters

    That's right! A clan may own more than one Headquarters, but only if you conquer it from another PG. You may only construct one HQ of your own, which will always be considered your "Capital HQ." If it falls, ALL your other HQs fall as well. By winning Clan Hostilities against other HQ-holding Clans you may decide to take over their HQ as a reward for your victory. Each HQ you own will give you rewards at a rate equal to half of those received by your capital HQ.

    If you own more than one HQ, you may be attacked at any of these HQs at any time, even concurrently. If you cannot defend all of them at once, that's just too bad. Either concentrate your resources defending one of them and sacrifice the others, or do your best trying to hold all of them at once.

    Groups owning more than one HQ may also sell their extra HQs to another PG at any time. Moderators may set minimum prices for the sale, but in most cases will refrain from interfering with such player transactions. Such sales must take place in The Guild Shop.

    HQ Destruction

    If you own an HQ and you lose in Clan Hostilities, your attacker may choose to destroy your HQ. The forum will be archived immediately. However, you do not lose your right to own an HQ, and could build a new one immediately, provided you pay any start-up costs and/or secure the thread justification.

    HQ Right Revocation

    In extraordinary instances of PG misbehavior, the right to own an HQ may be temporarily or permanently revoked.
