    OCCUPATION
    Wandering swordsman and jack of all trades.

    PERSONALITY
    Vincent is a true warrior, for his existence has only one purpose: to do battle with the strongest beings alive (or dead, for that matter.). His goal, he says, is to one day rule the world as God Himself, and only the strongest warrior in existence may claim rights to that title. Thus, the word “mercy” is not known in the man’s, unless, say, both he and his opponent are driven to the point of exhaustion. Also, if he sees potential in a seemingly weak opponent, he will leave them alive just to see how strong they can get.
    He doesn’t really care what other people think about him, but if others get in his way of his goal he will consider them as his enemies and not hesitate in killing or attempting to kill them. Also, if he sees what he considers a “strong” opponent, he will usually provoke them into a battle with him just for the hell of it.
    However, recently Vincent has become slowly attached to the woman named Samantha and listens to her, not being as brash as he used to be. He now actually thinks about what he does instead of usually just drawing his sword and hacking and slashing through everyone. In short, she has become sort of his conscience, and his vulnerability as well as he cares about her despite his rough exterior. When he does battle, it is usually as a blood thirsty warrior…but he can slightly control now when he goes berserk or not.

    APPEARANCE
    Vincent is a bear of a man, standing six foot five inches tall and weighing over 220 pounds in sheer muscle. His body is like a sheet of rock, and not one inch of his body has a bit of flab on it. His skin is slightly tanned from past years of battle, and he has a few scars here and there to prove it. His hair is as white as snow and long enough to touch the small of his back. His eyes are his most distinctive feature, as they are a swirling, liquid silver that many say has an almost hypnotic effect. For his clothing he wears a black coat that is open at the front, revealing his rock hard abs and chest. On the bottom he wears a set of white gi pants (or martial arts pants) that are baggy enough for him to move easily in, and for his footwear he wears a pair of worn, leather sandals. He also now wears a sand-colored desert cloak instead of his black coat most of the time, unless said so. Upon his left hand he also wears a black ring with some strange runes decorating it, and his teeth are now like a vampire’s, the canines inhumanly sharp.

    SKILLS

    Passive Abilities
    Swordsmanship: Vincent now is considered an advanced swordsman when compared to others. His style is that of a berserker, using his immense size and strength to overpower his opponents and his natural resilience and stamina to outlast them. However, he now can parry, deflect, and avoid attacks moderately well, having trained with Samantha while traveling, and thus has turned his decadent style of sword fighting into a refined art.

    Posthumanity
    : Vincent innate abilities have passed beyond that of normal humans, turning him into something beyond human.

    -Strength: Vincent has grown physically strong to the point where he can lift up to 500 pounds before hurting himself. However, he cannot do so easily; for example, if he were to lift a sword that weighted 500 pounds, it would be all he could do to just lift it before collapsing. Swinging it would be out of the question. He can lift up to a quarter of his maximum lift weight with one hand. (aka, up to 125 lbs.)

    -Ierro (Steel Skin): Vincent's body has adapted and toughened throughout his constant battling, making him into his own armor. His skin and muscles are tougher and harder to cut through than the average man's; about as tough as the average leather vest. This provides a reliable protection against bladed weapons of below average quality and lower, and also a moderate resistance to blunt attacks, such as hand-to-hand combat and club weapons. However, his Ierro does have a weakness; it is remarkably susceptible to piercing attacks, such as those from a rapier or spear.

    -Berserker: Vincent has developed a very high level of tolerance to pain due to being cut up so often from his wild style of fighting, so that even though he does feel it his mind rejects it, allowing him to fight on to the very ends of his strength. He also has a great amount of stamina from doing so, being in peak physical condition to be able to go beyond the limits of normal man and fight on sheer will power until he is cut down.

    -Blade Grasp: Vincent's left hand has become tough enough where he can grab his opponent's own bladed weapons without being seriously hurt or injured. This is NOT to mean he is not cut, just that it will not cut through the muscles/bone of his hand as it has become habituated to the feel of steel. At this point, Vincent can grasp blades of steel metals and average quality or lower without severely injuring himself. He can do this but once per battle, as repeated grabs would hurt him farther beyond his resistance.
    {Ability gained here.}

    Eternal Youth: For some reason that he does not know himself, Vincent is stuck forever at the age of 24, and it is impossible for him to die of old age. However he does not mind this much, as his plans for taking over the world would be benefited by that fact.

    Active Abilities

    *Vorpal Fang: Vincent summons dark fire out of his own blood to coat his sword, increasing the attack power, sharpness and weapon strength momentarily. The strength is such that it can slice through steel or weaker metals at this time. There are a couple conditions with this technique, however. A) Vincent can perform it but once a day at this time, as the ability is so draining that even once is dangerous to his health. B) If used with any other weapon other than Devourer or another sword of sharpness, such as weapons made of adamantium or those with such enchantments, the quality of the weapon is degraded with each time. I.E. Vincent uses it with a masterwork prevalida sword, the quality of the blade is downgraded to excellent, and so on and so forth. If he tries using it when the quality of the blade is at Awful, the blade will immediately break from the stress and the technique will fail. C) The "flame" of the blade is limited to Vincent's blood only.Thus, he cannot, for example, light grass of fire by touching his burning blade to it. It would first have to be covered it his blood to burn. Vincent's blood, and only his blood, is the catalyst for the technique to work. However, he could, for example, spill his own blood on wooden table and use that to light it on fire, consuming it. But at this point, his blood is the only thing that will cause burning. Also, this flammable blood, if it lands on someone's skin or hair, only deals minor damage before vanishing in a puff of smoke. However, articles of clothing will be susceptible to extended burning. And finally, D) In order to cut through items of steel strength, Vincent would have to put his whole entire effort and being into the attack, such as when he went head-to-head with Yukina's Pearl attack. This leaves him open MAJORLY. Items of iron and lower quality are easier to cut through, but they too require concentration, and simple things like wood and and flesh and bone are like butter to the technique.
    {Ability gained here.}

    ITEMS
    Delyn Claymore: A large weapon that Vincent bought at the bazaar after selling his serrated nodachi, it is a double-edged weapon made out of a dense delyn. Engraved into the bottom of the blade is a single rune, but it is unenchanted...for the time being. The claymore is five feet long in total, the blade being slightly over four feet long itself and about a half a foot wide. It weighs around eighty pounds; just enough so that Vincent can now swing it around in one hand in the style of a long sword.
    {Weapon gained here.}

    Devourer: A futuristic katana given to Vincent by Death Itself, its hilt and sheath are of unknown metal and design but are approximately the strength of steel each. The blade itself, upon later examination however, seems to exhibit the same strength of plynt of masterwork quality. Even though it would still be a large blade to some others, its total of four and a quarter feet in length makes this blade a light weight weapon to a giant like Vincent. Its edge, mysteriously, never dulls, but may be broken if Vincent is not careful. The only weapon that Vincent knows of that can perform Vorpal Fang without downgrading in quality. This weapon cannot be sold.
    {Weapon gained here.}

    Skeith: A four foot long sickle with a two and a half foot long blade, its handle is made of oak and the blade itself is made of normal, average-quality iron. However, it does have one special property: once per day, it is able to summon a doppelganger of its wielder that has the same properties as the doppelgangers in this battle: Does half damage and can suffer up to three damaging hits before needing to return to the scythe to recover. The doppelganger is considered an NPC and can be used by any other player the way they see fit, keeping in note the clone has sentience and a personality of its own. The scythe itself is about ten pounds in weight.
    {Weapon gained here.}

    Traveling Pack: A small, leather bag that holds his cash, clothes and his medical supplies, which includes bandages (wraps) and a few canteens of water.

    NPC's/FAMILIARS

    NAME
    **Samantha

    AGE

    Fifty five years old: looks much younger due to aging process is slower than a human's.

    RACE
    Halfbreed (succubus/???)

    GENDER
    Female.

    SKIN COLOR
    White, but tans easily.

    HAIR COLOR
    Raven Black

    EYE COLOR
    Crystal Blue/Yellow with black irises

    HEIGHT
    5'7"

    WEIGHT
    118 lbs

    OCCUPATION
    Ex-prostitute/Wanderer

    PERSONALITY
    Samantha is very calm and patient, the yin to Vincent's yang. She tends to like to think things over before going through with an action, wanting to consider each possibility before making a decision. However, she is not without her own quirks: when it comes to Vincent, she can become violent and possessive, overriding rational thought with pure emotion. On the same hand, she herself tends to flirt a lot, part of her succubus upbringing. When she is calm, she acts as Vincent's conscience, keeping him from acting rashly in times where it would not be beneficial. However, she supports him in whatever decisions he makes in the end, being true to her lover.

    APPEARANCE
    Something similar to this.

    SKILLS
    -Average skill level with short swords

    -1.5x as fast and agile as the average man: able to move at speeds of up to fifteen miles per hour at full dash and has reflexes slightly above a human's.

    -"Sight": Samantha can look at people's life forces by activating her demonic blood, turning her eyes yellow with black irises. With this vision, she can get a variety of information about her surroundings, up to what the person is (racial-wise) and what spots on them are vulnerable. However, it can be but used twice per day, as it drains her stamina to forcibly draw upon her demonic heritage.

    -Seduction: Samantha, having succubus blood, naturally has an aura of sexuality around her, and can use that aura to bribe information out of others or make her harder to resist. Upon this time, she can expand her aura so slightly above average-minded individuals are influenced by it.

    ITEMS
    -Twin steel scimitars, each custom made for Samantha herself. Only she may use them, as there is an enchantment upon the weapons that if anyone outside of her or her blood tries to wield them, the hilts begin to heat up until it becomes impossible to hold them. They cool down as soon as the person lets go.

    -Small goatskin bag for carrying supplies and cash.

    -"Skeith": Samantha also wields the scythe and can also use its special ability. Most often, it's her carrying the weapon, and not Vincent.

    HISTORY

    Chapter One:
    Whisper of the Beast

    1
    Vincent is drinking his life away in a bar, somewhere away from Radasanth, when suddenly he is approached by a strange man in a suit with a suitcase. The man gives him a job offer: go to the Citadel in Radasanth, and defeat the angel there. Short on cash and needing some action, Vincent accepts. However, he underestimates his female opponent, and is quickly slain by her strange abilities and fast movements. When he awakens from his defeat, he is given a ring along with a letter, both from the man that approached Vincent in the first place. "Beazel". Who is this man? What does he want with Vincent? And what is this power that he possesses? Only time will tell.

    2
    After his battle with the angel in the Citadel, Vincent sought out a place to stay. After all, the note had told him to get stronger, and the best way to get stronger was here in Radasanth, at the Citadel. How convenient. So he found residence at a large bordello called The Scarlet Lady, just a couple blocks away from the famous battleground. There he met a girl named Samantha, a "saucy wench" that seemed to satisfy his more...ahem...primal urges. After finding residence at the bordello, he went back to the Citadel to fight a robot, of all things. It was a ferocious fight, filled with flaming cyclones, earthquakes, doppelgangers, scythes, and of course, mushrooms. In the end, Vincent won this battle, cutting the machine in half before the very arena itself was erased from existence. He didn't see a woman looking down at him from afar, a dark haired woman wielding a black claymore. She spoke his name, then faded into ashes...
    When he awoke this time, he was presented with a scythe he had picked up from the battle. Surprised, he shouted at the monk, but then all of a sudden one of the doppelgangers appeared from the scythe and spoke to Vincent, saying its name was Skeith and it was a spirit living within the weapon. Vincent accepted it and walked out with his new weapon in hand, going back to his place in The Scarlet Lady to forget about the day's strangeness in the waiting arms of Samantha.

    3

    Death in the Darkness
    It seemed like just a random trip to the Citadel. Just on whim had Vincent gone, wanting to get some exercise other than his excursions at the bordello with Samantha. However, this battle with the vampire Cellius had brought surprises of its own:
    Voices.
    Vincent had begun to hear voices in his head.
    It wasn't the first time he had heard a voice...but it was the first time he could clearly distinguish what they were saying. One almost drove him to rip out his opponents throat with his teeth, and Vincent would have had it not been for the other voice that then spoke. A motherly, scolding voice that called Vincent nothing but a "caged animal". This stopped him from doing so, relieving him of all the battle lust in his body in one moment and sparing the vampire's "life". As his thoughts grew troubled at the meaning of this, what Vincent did not know was that the speaker of those words, the ones that had stopped him, was not too far away...watching. Always watching.

    4
    The Angel's Return
    Vincent had been brooding that morning, remembering how the angel had defeated him so easily the first time he had gone to the Citadel. He also wondered why he had been giving that strange ring, bouncing questions and ideas both off of Samantha. He and her had become now more than client and protitute: lovers was more appropriate for the two. Needing some time to think and to fight, however, he headed off early that morning, leaving Skeith behind with Samantha. However, he did not see her draw two swords and call the spirit from its home in the weapon...
    To his surprise, he found waiting for him at the Citadel the angel that had first defeated him. Fueled by animalistic rage, Vincent became a berserker, overpowering the angel easily this time. Voices screamed at him in his head, telling him to do this and that, driving him insane, until one simple insult from the angel drove him to madness. He could think of nothing other than ripping her apart. Putting on the obsidian ring at the malicious voice's command, Vincent then ended the battle in a stalemate as he summoned fire from his own blood to counter the angel's last attack of desperation. The explosion rocked the area around them and both warriors went unconscious.
    During his sleep, Vincent met the Grim Reaper. It seemed at first that Death was there to steal his soul away, but It could not: Vincent could not die as long as he was in the Citadel. However, it did give him a sword; a strange, futuristic blade that was warm in Vincent's grip. Demanding answers, Vincent learned that it had been Beazel who had sent the weapon, using Death as a messenger.
    Waking, Vincent went back to his room only to find Samantha and her mist clone sparring. Her eyes betrayed her heritage as she explained to him that she was a demon, or half demon at the least. In return, he showed her the technique he had used against the angel, proving he wasn't human either. The two shared secrets, ambitions, and goals until Vincent realized he could not stay here any longer: it was time for him to move on. That was what the sword had meant. However, Samantha insisted that she go with him, at the same time he asked her. Thus did the two become wanderers, with Skeith at their side to tag along.
    Where will their journey take them? Who knows....

    Out of Character:

    **Samantha may only be used in battles if the opponent grants permission that she may.
