"Some things they never tell you
While you're riding the assembly line
Like who'll be the hands to hold you
And what's their state of mind?
Well, hell I'm not much bigger
Than a pointed index finger
But who am I to lay the blame?
I'm only here to cause some pain."~The Autobiography of a Pistol, by Ellis Paul
To allow for you to choose the desired amount of commentary (or a condensed rubric or workshop) in your judgment to lift the load on the judges.

I don't see how that has anything to do with viewing your submitted threads. Posting to claim them in the mod forum and having that claiming comment auto-show on the request actually takes less time than sending a PM in addition... and requesting the amount of feedback is done in the submission form either way, so I don't really know what you're talking about.
Oh well, whatever.

Replies in the "Judging Requests" forum do not automatically show up in the "View Submitted Threads" area of the players' control panel. There is an entirely separate internal submission system that the moderators use to give you those comments. Eventually we'll discontinue usage of that separate submission system and rely only on the threads in the "Judging Requests" forum (the reason for this, as I mentioned, is to create a drop down box in the thread submission page for players to specify commentary level). Beyond that, the only way to give the players comments like they are used to will be through PMs. Does that make sense?

Sure. Whatever floats your boat.
I would have sworn the reply in the thread generated by the request used to automatically show up, but that was... four years ago? I wouldn't be shocked to be wrong.
