My first job was fixing minor computer glitches, performing tedious system updates, and setting up unstable wireless networks for a land development corporation.
It is generally difficult to convince such people to take someone in their teens seriously. Much moreso someone under sixteen. My ability to drive when I took that awful little job was pretty much indispensible. I think about half of my pay came from the refunds I'd get for driving three or so hours a day to new developments that required my aid.
Still, there really is nothing like passing the office of a man worth millions upon millions of dollars and having him call out to you that his mouse isn't working, only to watch his face light up in awe when the magical solution of "turn it off, turn it on again" succeeds yet again.

My first job was tearing down buildings. I'd take a sledgehammer and slowly chip away at the brick walls until they were gone, and after work sometimes I could barely hold a spoon from all the vibrations suffered while working. But it was decent work and good exercise. Lousy pay, though.
But I started with that when I was 18 or so. When I was fifteen, I was too busy wasting the summer days on just about anything except working, so I don't really know any jobs suitable for fifteen year-olds.

I'm fairly sure the McDonald's around these parts don't hire until you're sixteen, but despite all the complaints you hear about it it is a halfway decent first job. I learned a lot about how to handle coworkers, customers and weird situations PDQ...

McDonalds is an ok paying job. But it is completely SOUL DESTROYING. Seriously. I hated it. And my manager was a git.

Paper boys certainly do still exist--my little brother is one.
My cousin made huge amounts of bank mowing lawns in high school. He put the mower in the family car and got a parent to take him around a circuit, mowing for families with large lawns. You get enough families to hire you, and you can get consistent (and very nice) pay.
