Corone Mission Board
The following are special story hooks for the region of Corone. Mission Board quests are a great way to affect the canon of the region, immerse yourself in its lore, and gain extra rewards. The mission descriptions are below. Some can be claimed multiple times, but others can't. Some require a certain number of participants; others do not. Some can be written only as quests or only as battles, and others can work for both. Any completed mission allows a much greater opportunity of affecting Althanas canon.
Important note: as stated above, some missions may only claimed by one party. We ask that you show consideration to your fellow members and only make a claim if you truly intend to see it through, and please limit yourself to claiming one such mission (as in, don't scoop up multiple such missions with alternate characters). Also, any one-claim mission thread that goes a month without a post will be declared inactive and the mission will become once more available. Such threads declared inactive may still be finished afterward, but will not be considered canon.

Mission Title: The Bandit Queen
Status: Claimed
Faction: The Rangers
Requirements: Two to four players; quest only; if multiple groups quest simultaneously, they will be in competition with one another.
Description: The civil war left lawlessness in its wake, allowing all manner of brigands to terrorize the countryside. The Rangers are determined to restore order, but they are short on manpower and need help. They put out a call for justice-minded mercenaries to aid in tracking down and arresting or killing a notorious outlaw who calls herself “The Bandit Queen.” She lurks somewhere in Concordia, moving from place to place, so tracking her down is no easy task, let alone capturing her.
Rewards: Each player receives 300 GP. If you capture the Bandit Queen alive and bring her back to stand trial, you will also earn a Ranger’s longbow made from Talymer wood. The players’ characters will also gain a reputation among the Rangers, unlocking new special missions.
Mission Title: Behind Enemy Lines
Status: Available
Faction: The Rangers
Requirements: Any number of players; quest only; repeatable; no limit on simultaneous groups.
Description: The war is nearing its end, but Imperial forces still control Radasanth. Worse, they hold scores of Rangers as prisoners of war. The Rangers are paying handsomely for every brother-in-arms returned safely to Underwood. Of course, breaking anyone out of the Radasanth dungeons is no easy task.
Rewards: Each player receives 500 GP and improved status with the Coronian Rangers. Scoring a 70 or higher and freeing at least fifteen Rangers earns an additional 500 GP and official membership in the Rangers. This translates into a 10% bonus to EXP and GP for all quests and battles completed in their service.
Mission Title: Commandeering
Status: Available
Faction: Coronian Navy
Requirements: Two to four players; quest only; repeatable; no limit on simultaneous groups.
Description: When the civil war broke out, the Imperial regime seized command of a large chunk of Corone’s fleet. They now use their remaining ships to protect the Radasanth Harbor, their last holdout, preventing blockades and protecting the supply shipments that keep the city fed. Instead of risking a direct engagement against the Imperials, the Republic’s new naval command seeks mercenaries to sneak aboard these enemy vessels and capture them for the Republic.
Rewards: Each player receives 300 GP per ship captured, subject to Judge discretion. Groups of three or more players may request a ship instead of gold. Additionally, completing this quest also improves characters’ status with naval command, unlocking new missions.
Mission Title: Leviathan
Status: Claimed
Faction: Coronian Navy
Requirements: Any number of players; quest only; if multiple groups quest simultaneously, they are in competition with one another.
Description: A great beast has risen from the depths, attacking ships randomly and indiscriminately. No one knows for sure why it rampages across the sea, but it has already caused great damage to Corone’s commerce. Admiral Grayloft himself has put a bounty on the beast’s hide.
Rewards: Each player receives 300 GP and first pick of the teeth, eyes, scales, and so forth of the slain mystical monster. If the quest scores a 70 or higher, the characters will receive the Star of Radasanth, a medal for valor at sea. This translates to a 10% bonus to EXP and GP for all future quests and battles completed in service to the Coronian Navy.
Mission Title: Assassination
Status: Available
Faction: The Assembly
Requirements: One to three players; quest only; repeatable; no limit on simultaneous groups.
Description: Assassination is a dirty business, but war is dirtier. The Corone Assembly seeks to end the war and restore the republic as soon as possible, but any means necessary. These means include assassinating key members of the remaining imperial government in Radasanth. This should sew chaos amongst their supporters and hopefully usher in new leaders more willing to discuss surrender.
Rewards: Each player receives 300 GP for a successful assassination, plus an additional 300 for securing valuable intelligence documents. Completing this mission will also put the players in good standing with the Assembly, unlocking new missions.
Mission Title: The Pearl Coast
Status: Available
Faction: The Assembly
Requirements: Two to three players; quest only; if more than one group quests simultaneously, they are in competition with one another.
Description: Tylermerande, the southern barony known for its soft sandy beeches, pearl divers, and large elvish population, has experienced a substantial influx of Raiaeran refugees since the Corpse War. This, combined with the continued unrest in the wake of Corone’s civil war, has triggered a a movement within the baron’s court to break away from Corone and form a new elvish nation. The Assembly would surely reward anyone who traveled to Tylmerande’s capital of Serenti and somehow put a stop to this secession movement.
Rewards: Each player receives up to 800 GP, depending on how effectively you keep Tylmerande a part of the Republic. If you secure hard evidence of treason against the movement’s ringleaders and score a 70 or higher, you will receive a plot of land and a minor title, translating into a 10% bonus to EXP and GP for all future quests and battles in service to the Assembly.
