A Time In Union Past: Chapter one

Click. Flash. Rhiannon quickly tightened her eyes shut as eight big round lights beamed down on her. Only seconds had passed and she could already feel its hot rays tingling at her bare skin. She was in what seemed to be a doctors bed of some kind, yet there was no one around. Just an empty white room. The light was far to bright to see if there were any cameras watching her.
Suddenly there was a slight crackling noise before a voice spoke out over an intercom. “Good morning, miss Orris. I believe you're wondering at this given time of why you are here. You are under the testing of the Technocratic Union to insure that you are in perfect health before further training. Do not panic, the restraints bracing you to the table are for your own safety. We need you to be awake for our first test. Doctors will be in shortly and will be using a machine to read your brain activity. Please remain cooperative and we will gladly answer your questions later. Thank you, miss Orris.”
Rhiannon's squinted eyes looked around the room as the voice from the walls spoke to her. She knew from her own basic knowledge that it was an intercom, but it seemed to be coming from.. everywhere.. There was no way of tracing where the sound was even coming from.
Memory was coming back to her as she looked at all the restraints bracing down her slender physique. Where was her clothes, her home, and her parents? Something was blank. No matter how much she tried to remember, it was impossible. It was as if her memory was just blank, erased from reality.
A loud sound projected through the room as elevator like doors opened. Four men in large white trench coats approached her with a rather large table on wheels. Rhiannon's eyes fell on them, her lower lip starting quivering in fear. Being so overwhelmed with confusion made her want to cry, and her stomach only grew to become a pain because of the stress levels that were starting to bestow her.
One of the doctors smiled at her politely as he brought up a notepad, scribbling with a pen. “Good morning, miss Orris. How are we feeling?”
“G-good.” She lied, and before she could ask any questions, the doctor proceeded.
“Now we're going to have to due a few test with you today, and we need you to help us by being understanding and cooperative. We are to take a complete and total physical of you from top to bottom. So if you can just sit still for one moment” the doctor paused as he grabbed a needle from the table while his assistant cleaned Rhiannon's arm,” we'll need to start with a blood sample.”
