Manda/Letho/Storm/Slayer of the Rot
well you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
or the moment of truth in your lies
when everything feels like the movies
yeah you bleed just to know you're alive
and i don't want the world to see me
cause i don't think that they'd understand
when everything's made to be broken
i just want you to know who i am
goo goo dolls "iris"
Yeah, this category seems a bit shady to me as well. I'm seeing the same group of names pop up in here, but like Storm said, many other great writers will get ignored.
I'm gonna' nominate Writing Writer. I enjoy reading his stuff.
Storm/Letho/Manda/Shyam/Slayer.
Since we're nominating a bunch of people.
The Karu knows.
Seeing as people insist on nominating eighty billion people in their post, I wanted to let you guys know how I intend to count them. A nomination for X and Y counts as a half nomination for each. They have to get the other half from somewhere else. Lets say Bob nominates X and Y, Joe nominates X, Z and Q and Mike nominates X, Y, A and B. If these were the only nominations, X would be the only nominee, because he's the only one who got a full nomination's worth.

I think this is a bad category. I mean, we've got some amazing writers and some not so amazing writers, but a "best?"
It seems very iffy. I mean, if there's a "best," there's got to be a "worst," and we wouldn't put up that poll.
The Karu knows.
Toy Soldier is the worst writer on this forum.
Anyway, I nominate Shyam. Pound for pound, he's the best Althanas' has produced. And his best character by far was Oak.
(Ha! There's a character to test the oldbies memory!)

"When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic." -- Dresden James
"Men think in herds, go mad in herds, but recover their senses one by one." -- Charles Mackay
"A paranoid-schizophrenic is a guy who just found out what’s going on." -- William S. Burroughs
I nominate Godhand. Of all the writing on Althanas, his has that unique stunning effect most often.
"Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity."
William Butler Yeats - The Second Coming
