    Happy Hour Challenge The Fourth

    Alright, folks. Here's yet another change to grab some of those fate point things that I keep on yapping about in the podcasts!

    Tonight's game puts you in the role of a journalist for one of Althanas' esteemed newspapers.

    We're going to assume that your character just committed a nefarious or brave deed that's worthy of a front-page article. Your job is to write that article from the point of view of the journalist.

    I'll be looking for all of the things that make a news article a news article: A dateline, who the article was written by (read: not [I]your[I] character), an informative description of the event/the Five W's (who, what, when, where, why), comments from witnesses or people directly involved, timeliness, importance, proper spelling and grammar, etc.

    The winner will receive three fate points, and the contest will end March 10th.

    Plagerize a random newspaper article, change the words and names around a bit ... and you got your submission ... you win.

    How can you prove that someone didn't plagerize the material?

    Hmmm ... good point with that one.

    Never thought of that ... just couldn't think of where you could get that kind of material (roleplaying wise) anyway.

    What Godhand said makes a lot of sense. For all I know, this entire site could be nothing but one giant plagiarism orgy, and for all you know, I could've lifted the idea of this contest from the local paper's Arts and Leisure section.
