I'd like an estimate on a weapon, reimagined from the original concept, but fitting for Stalt's devious collection of wicked blades.
Ruin is a dagger, glassy blue with an opaque white center. When held in hand, it appears to fluctuate in and out of existence. This quality is caused by a curse that fell over the blade. Forged by a master smith during the height of his golden years, the weapon was intended as a gift for the King of Salvar, but it never made it to him.
Instead, it fell into the hands of a young Witch Hunter named Elias.
Elias was a prodigy within the Order of the All-Seeing Eye, and a man who subscribed fervently to the doctrines of Denebriel. His greatest aspiration in life was to cleanse all the land of Magic. As the boy worked his way across the continent, he began to waver in his tenacity.
Places where the Sway held less authority had equally less faith, and he learned quickly that there were those who did not share in his hatred. Wrought with despair, the young boy fell into a zealous rage. In an unheard of act of malice and cruelty, Elias acted without the authority of the Church and put a small village to the blade. During this time, he happened upon the Swordsmith Ardasz, a man seized who sought to pay homage to the King with his greatest work.
Though a sword would have made for a more Kingly blade, Ardasz poured his effort into a smaller weapon, one of elegant make that shimmered like the sky. It was to be his legacy, something that would stay in the royal family for generations. Elias took the weapon in hand and put it through the throat of its creator.
In his last moments, Ardasz cursed the blade he had created- never to serve a King, but to bring ruin on those who the fickle weapon touched. A powerful double edged sword in the truest sense, Ruin is capable of the following:
1: The Ethereal nature of the blade allows it to phase through solid matter. A single layer of any metal armor will not halt it, but it will cut immediately into anything beyond that layer. Additionally, it can phase through a single weapon in the path to its target. If it does this, it will not pass through any armor afterward.
This effect is reset for consecutive swings. One could pass through a blade and ricochet off armor plate, then attack again to achieve the desired effect. Obviously, the target would be free to defend themselves, but the confusion of their attack being ignored would most likely cause them to falter.
2: Anything that is cut by it is disrupted at the cellular level. This is achieved by the fluctuating mana that circulates through Ruin. The area around the wound does not heal naturally, and so bleeding will not stop and wounds will fester.
The blade is Titanium.
