This movie disappointed me TERRIBLY.

PRO'S
- The direction of the movie was beautiful - the worlds created were spectacular, and I thought the balance of kid-hooking cuteness to dark and aging fan service was perfect.
- The actors were for the most part very strong. Hammill as conflicted Luke, Driver as the ascending Ben Solo, and my beloved Daisy Ridley as Rey did terrific jobs. Poe, Finn, Leia, and Laura Dern's character were all excellently executed.
- There is some creativity here, it's not super formulaic, and it was a fun watch.

CON'S
- SQUANDERED OPPORTUNITIES EVERYWHERE!!! So many options to have shows of great power that were cast aside. So many bad decisions from the writers that make the overall movie incredibly unsatisfying.
A) Tease Rey's birth story, alluding to potential "chosen one" type lineage: No payoff, screw it, she's a daughter or scrubs.
B) Snoke emerges as the most powerful entity, a dominant and terrifying force: Nah, fuck Boss Bathrobe, he gets discarded.
C) EPIC SHOWDOWN WITH LUKE GODDAMNED SKYWALKER: Psyche! He's not really there, and never actually fights. And now he's dead with no payoff!
D) Yoda! Except he does nothing, looks terrible, and is completely unnecessary.
- Benecio Del Toro is an awesome actor. He was completely wasted with that stammering dickhole of a character.
- Gwendoline Christie, I don't know why you were done dirty like that. You also deserved better.
- The casino scenes will rival the pod races from Ep 1 as the most unnecessary scenes in SW history.
- Rose. Yawn. She's not annoying, but she is 100% not compelling in any way.
- Now What!? Is there any doubt Rey can defeat Kylo Ren in combat? The First Order has tons of numbers, but no compelling leverage. I almost don't give a shit w.r.t. the next movie, because I don't see TFO being the overriding force like the Empire.

This is the most disappointed I've been in a movie in a very, very long time.
