I find the term 'chick' to be a gross over-simplification of a woman, their function and purpose in life. As though women are for clucking amongst themselves, eating seed and birthing eggs. Its single syllable is snappy and efficient to its credit, but I find it lazy and dismissive of a lady's true potential. Why, there are a plethora of terms you can draw upon to refer to a woman - lady, madam, mistress are a smattering that come swiftly to mind. Are you unable to offer her a term that requires more tongue-effort?

Some men don't understand what the big deal is. It's just a word. Get over it. That's fine, you won't mind at all if I always refer to you as 'cock' henceforth. It won't niggle at the back of your mind after hearing it for the tenth time, the fifty seventh time nor the one hundredth and eleventh time. *trails off into feministic rant*

Oh, and baby chickens are wonderful. Carry on being cute and fluffy, lovely dovelies.
