Nevin was in a hurry. He could hear the beastly abomination screaming behind him, hungry for flesh and bone. There was an unnatural squeal and he looked over - to see a tendril shooting for Stare. His heart gave a weird lurch, like he was seeing his sister in danger. His eyes narrowed and shot back to the mixture as Stare distracted the east with another body part, saving herself.

He had to finish this, and now. He was just about done with the chemical bomb but he needed one last ingredient - a fluid with metals inside. He knew just what to use, but didn't look forward to it. There was a strange sound, a soft twang, like a string being plucked - and then there was a huge roll of heat, washing over his back. So. Stare he decided to barbecue the abomination. A glance over his shoulder showed his guess correct - his friend was standing, silhouetted against a wash of flames, a bow clenched in one hand and steely determination in her game.

Well. If she had determination he was about to be undone. So he grit his teeth, and dragged his palm across his whip, wincing as a barb did what he wanted and tore his flesh. Moving softly he let his blood flow into the mixture in the bucket which began bubbling and frothing, and took on a rather unnatural hue. Nevin inhaled, exhaled, and capped the bottle.

"Stare! Get back!" Nevin stood up, snatching the bottle containing his impromptu bomb in his good hand. Then he charged forward - into time for Stare to look over and see him. A massive, messy tendril shot out and wrapped around him, and Nevin didn't try to dodge. He heard Stare scream his name - but this was what he needed. The chemical bomb was in his hand, hoisted out of the way as the thing brought him inwards.

His ribs were cracking under the pressure of the monstrosity's unnatural grip, and Nevin knew he'd come out the worse for this. But. Not as bad as the abomination of flesh. That impossible eye focused on him as Nevin was swung up in front of his mouth - and the redhead grinned, a wild, unnatural fierce grin.

"OPEN WIDE!" And using his threads to wrap around his arm and boost his strength, he hurled the bottle into the thing's gaping abyss of a maw. There was a strange stillness in the air as all of the eyes suddenly dilated, and movement stopped. The thing was trying to process its latest 'meal' which as exactly what Nevin needed for it to do. As soon as it tore the plastic and exposed the mixture to whatever acids were at work inside of it -

The bubbles appeared first, welling up and bursting through the flesh of the beast in a few places. Then Nevin was hurled backwards, shooting past Stare to slam into the wall, and his head was spinning as he slumped to the ground. The creature tried to stop the chemical cocktail inside of its system from doing more damage - but Nevin had counted on that, and his mixture just got more volatile the more blood was run through it.

The abomination began to dissolve inwards as an acidic compound ate through it. It looked a bit like a massive flan collapsing in on itself, and even now it was lashing out, trying to eat more - trying to reverse its demise. But, too little, too late, and its attempts just made its death faster.
