During the Corpse War, the capital of Raiaera was overrun by the forces of the necromancer Xem’Zund. What remains is a blasted urban wasteland, ransacked and littered. The latest expeditions into the city confirm that it is abandoned and largely destroyed. Only the heavily damaged structures of Istien University remain.
This city was once called Anebrilith, Raiaera's oldest city and primary port. After serving as the center for the refugee exodus and then crumbling to anarchy during the Corpse War, the Wizard Blueraven literally replaced it with Beinost - the beautiful city. This underpopulated, colorful port inspires awe, fear, and disgust throughout the nation, and houses the College Arcana.
Cursed by the Forgotten One Podë, every leaf in this forest is the color of blood. Most of the untamed dangers in Raiaera lurk here, and few have traveled under its boughs and lived to tell the tale. It is said, however, that the ruins and ancient sites within the forest are full of magic, mystery, and maybe a bit of gold.
